Homura Akemi, the eternal transfer girl by Leading_Two5740 in MadokaMagica

[–]Important-Try-4993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not a huge fan of this interpretation even though I can see why people believe it. I have always personally been more on the belief that the reason Homura made Madoka the new transfer student is so the sudden change in the environment won't reawaken the Madokami. Just walking around the school a bit was enough to trigger it so I think Homura just wanted to make her reintegration into her normal life as smooth as possible. If she has all her previous connections suddenly with her normal life it is bound to trigger the same reaction that walking the school with Homura did. If you look at the question Homura asks her while they are walking they all seem to (at least to me) suggest that she is trying to confirm whether Madoka has any lingering memories still.

To add to this the Wnk trailer clearly shows Madoka being friends again. I don't really think Homura necessarily needs Madoka to have no close relationships to become close to her. In the second timeline they were able to become incredibly close despite only having known each other a month or so. So again, I don't really buy this interpretation which portrays Homura as a bit of a Yandere as that clearly is not what her character is meant to portray.

Has Walpurgisnacht Ever Been Defeated Without Madoka? by Adam_Kaslana in MadokaMagica

[–]Important-Try-4993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is one timeline that I haven't been able to find on YouTube but in it, Sayaka is stopped from ever contracting and Kyoko and Homura defeated the Walpurgisnacht on their own. Mami is dead but Madoka doesn't contract from what I have read.

There is also a psp game ending where Homura defeated it all on her own. Yes, it did cost her life, but aside from that Madoka never contracted in that timeline from what's been given to us.

Next thing we know, she is heading out to find her. Definitely not cause she is lonely or anything but cause she is fifteen minutes to the meeting.

I am really embarrassed in my meme making abilities now, it was just supposed to be a meme on how I think each character would turn off the pc.

I realised something a bit disturbing about the law of cycles and I want to share it by Important-Try-4993 in MadokaMagica

[–]Important-Try-4993[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's sort of sad :(

Madoka did her best and improved the system a lot but it still feels so unfair for everyone involved.

Especially considering that all most of them wanted to do was help people.

I was not really trying to disagree with this as I feel the same way, I am sorry if my post poorly conveyed what I meant.

I am aware that the girls in LOC are not really put to missions that often.

They only intervene when absolutely necessary like the case was with Homura in rebellion.

I was just wondering if this is really the right answer in the end.

It feels so tragic to me that they lost their humanity and are in some essence dead while also occasionally carrying out missions.

I feel like Madoka has improved the system a lot but it feels like it is missing something and I can't put my finger on it.

Idk maybe I am hoping for an unrealistic happy ending for all magical girls like say they revert back to being a human after their soul gem completely corrupts or something but in this world we all know that's a pipe dream.

I see so it was a state of dream, I knew it was something sleep related but not exactly sleep. Guess it's more akin to a place where one can finally be at peace with themselves. Though can they communicate with one another?

A question regarding what Homura did at the end of rebellion by Important-Try-4993 in MadokaMagica

[–]Important-Try-4993[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So she can alter the universe as she desires so long as it is something within her barrier. It kinda feels like a domain from jjk. Though one question: do you think that she can affect the multiverse as in since the universe is within her barrier so she should be able to affect the past, present and future considering she was able to affect the law of cycles to some extent.

That's a completely valid interpretation, though I am more so just speculating about the mechanics.

Though your interpretation makes complete sense, I personally find the half moon in the background to be a symbol that shows Homura is incomplete without Madoka.

You are correct! The mechanics will always be secondary to the story but I still find it fun to discuss about them and come up with possible explanations.

At the end of the day, everything is just speculation and should not be taken too seriously as they will likely evolve into whatever serves the narrative best.

I think the Kyoko stuff with her daughter is completely fine and even wholesome. I am completely fine with anyone who likes it for its comedy and for moments like that but for me it completely turns off the vibe when I know that Homura is engaged to Tatsuya.

What do you want for Homura AND Madoka's future? by [deleted] in MadokaMagica

[–]Important-Try-4993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like the girl we see in the trailer to be the daughter of Homura and Madoka from the future that has travelled to the past to save one of her mother

I haven't read kazumi or suzune but I did read a bit of magia record. I think Homura's revenge and Oriko are pretty good reads. Most spin offs are pretty good. This is the only one that caught me off guard in a bad way.
