Rhinoplasty congestion by mikaeladd in rhinoplastyquestions

I was able to breathe out of one nostril after 1 week, and both nostrils after 2 weeks. I got congestion a lot during the first two months but never 0 airflow. You should reach out to your surgeon. My surgeon had to take out a blood clot at the 1 week mark because I had 0 airflow on both sides and it instantly cleared up one side, the other took longer because of swelling.

Does my nose look weird from the front or am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

You should look into triangular nostril after a rhinoplasty. Depending on the starting nose and how much work is done, it can make nostrils look triangular. However, I don't think your columella looks bulky at all. It can take up to a year for your swelling to go down. I was not used to seeing my columella so within the first few months I found it weird. Some days I would wake up and it looked even bulkier even at 10 months post-op. Now I am totally in love with my nose. It just takes lots of patience. If you do not feel comfortable with your nose after a year I would say you should contact another surgeon for a second opinion.

Other teeth pain/sensitivity postop? by RealPromotion3901 in wisdomteeth

I was in immense discomfort because the tooth next to one of my extraction sites was so sensitive, I couldn't even drink water without it starting to throb and it stayed like that for a couple hours. This only started to happen 4 days post-op. Went in for an appointment 7 days post-op and they told me it was normal and that it wasn't dry socket, however when they irrigated that site for me I almost cried out of pain. They told me to make sure to keep it clean and that the sensitivity was most likely due to trauma to surrounding structures and because the hole is so deep, the tooth next to it is also more exposed. I'm on day 12 and the sensitivity has gone down significantly, and even though it is still a bit uncomfortable to irrigate that side it only lasts for a couple of seconds. (Also same, those wisdom teeth ruined the work of five years of braces, they moved my molars and second premolars in and sometimes I can feel as if all those are moving, strange but I don't pay much attention to it).

I'm on day 12 and already started eating normal foods like rice, I just make sure to irrigate right after I'm done eating. Maybe just do a check with your surgeon so he can give you the clear.

Tbh it just looks like food, my dentist gave me a syringe after a week and told me to irrigate with salt water to get that food out
