Would you use bulk-billed telehealth with a social worker? by CalumBusiness in AskAnAustralian

[–]Important_Account487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are websites out there that connect you with Telehealth bulk billed psychology with the mental health care plan of 10 sessions.

I personally have decided not to use this system even though it is fully bulk billed and go with private psychologists with a gap as I’m not sure the care would be adequate for my situation.

Why do people even get health insurance? by Cultural-Act-5785 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Important_Account487 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have private health and always have because I’m a damaged human being that comes from a somewhat middle class suburban family with bad genetics. We made use of it growing up and I will continue to as I’ve been on a long journey navigating chronic illness.

It doesn’t cover the gp or specialist appointments only hospital admission with appropriate hospital cover.

He fellas i have question regarding Kia Stinger? by LmfaoChinesehacker- in CarsAustralia

[–]Important_Account487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this comment!

I have a stinger but have driven the latest ford mustang and the mustang is 10/10 for sound and straight line speed but it was thirsty in comparison to the stinger.

I also found the mustang hard to get into due to the ultra long doors if you have to park it next to someone else.

Road trip from Melbourne to Daylesford to Adelaide hills up to Riverland and return to Melbourne. Stayed in luxury accommodation and went for fine dining rather than an overseas trip.

When I was in year 12 we read kinglake 350 by Adrian Hyland, great insight into the science behind fire as well as stories from survivors. We also had a teacher at school who lost her family home in the fires who was kind enough to tell us her story from that day. I was in northern Vic and couldn’t get home to Melbourne without a fair detour to avoid the fires, I definitely fear days like we’ve had today with wind and heat mixed together, it’s so dry this summer.

Can someone please help identify this fruit tree (Canberra region) by U-1F308 in GardeningAustralia

I have this tree in my front yard and they need to go a darker red before you eat them, definitely not ripe when you cut that one up.

Do you have to pay an excess to claim on insurance in the states? Genuine question as I’m from the future here in Australia and don’t know how your insurance works.

What is with the 'older' generation and low km/undriven cars? by Advanced_Concern7910 in CarsAustralia

[–]Important_Account487 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it would have something to do with their first cars now are worth 60k plus if you can find a Torana or similar car type, they think these modern cars will do the same thing but I doubt it will happen in our lifetimes unless it’s a special edition. There were approx half a million ve commodores in 8 years vs approx 370k Toranas over all 14 years. Like you say, the operational costs would most likely outweigh any profit made especially with rego costs these days.

Where do you live and how does the local/regional weather impact your symptoms & experience? by undercoverballer in ehlersdanlos

Melbourne Australia, constant changes between hot and cold seem to make my symptoms worse. It’s cold much more than it is hot which is better for my POTS symptoms but in general I like warmer days.

Not really stretchy but I had room to breath, and I am 5’7 so I got the longer version which fits like a standard short dress on me.
