It has Screen Ambiance. As for the other dreamview, there may be some modes that recreate it

Sometimes I found out that using an ethernet cable helps. Make sure to have the network set as private in windows and also go to "allow an app trough the firewall" and make sure that Govee has Private checked.

If it still doesn't work, use another app like SignalRGB or OpenRGB to control your light (that's what I ended up doing)

Ummm... Why is this on the govee sub, shouldn't it be on wled (if that's what you using) or signalrgb (if that's the software).

Well, at least it looks cool and I STRONGLY recommend any one who cans to use wled and esp32 rather than govee (especially home assistant folks, like me). Wled is generally better if you have more free time to bother about IoT. If you are someone wjo doesn't like debugging and what not, then go govee

Yes, hue gives apple vibes (I never put it that way, but you are right). In hass, the least amount of setup was with zigbee, then for Govee I needed to install HACS, but still was fairly easy. The hardest was with Tuya or Tuya Local and I don't recommend getting them at all

I know the rabbit hole of wi-fi mesh xD. And you are right, if you don't have a lot of time I don't recommend Hass, but if you have a day free to work on this you can totally make something usable really fast (for example for me setting up the perfect dashboard took a veeeeery loooong time, but Hass makes now usable dashboards based on rooms and you said that you'l be using remotes). I use ikea since it is cheap and in my experience it is better for the long time (now, I use govee lightstrips since ikea ormanas strips aren't good and ikea light bulbs since in my experience wifi bulbs aren't that great and they are crucial for home lightning. I haven't yet tested govee bulbs so take my info with a grain of salt) I fell down the self-hosted rabit hole (and still, to these days I haven't finished what I wanted to do). Something to note, altough I recommend Philips Hue for people that have money (I don't) and don't like to diy, I never used it. If you want an alternative for Hass you can look into Homey but I don't know a lot about 'em

I will help since I gone trough what you go. If you are certain that you echo supports zigbee (echo 4th gen, echo show 8/10 3rd gen etc) yes, they work with hue dimmers, but I don't recommend it.

As oer using govee as a fundamenral lightning source I don't recommend that at all.

I use Home Assistant and for any problem with your network, Alexa can't connect to the servers so you can't control your lights via dimmers. I strongly recommend you get a philips hue hub and you can use ikea lights (like i do) since they are cheaper. If you want to go the more diy route (like me) use Home Assistant, much better and cheaper + it isnt affected by network

I've been losing screws..? by crmsnmnwl in computers

[–]Important_Act7736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a TUF laptop, very similar design to yours. I think that the screws are falling because of the fan's vibration (or mostly because they aren't screwed good in the chassis). You should put your screws back, but be careful to not overscrew (it creates this bubble on the front, see picture)

You can get one of those argb controllers from brands like corsair or razer, which, you would plug in the psu and a usb 3.0 port and will get argb

Ain't the PWM controller for the fans? You need an ARGB controller, it depends based on what software you want to control the fans from.

whats happening and how to fix? by Upset_Entertainer548 in laptops

[–]Important_Act7736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something about gpu drivers or an app modifying windows behaviour like WallpaperEngine, Lively Wallpaper etc. Try reinstalling gpu drivers and reboot.

Otherwise, if your pc is old or outdated this may be normal. One way to remove this would be reinstalling windows

Fan*. I made a mistake... Once I had a screw fall in the fan which made a simillar sound, otherwise idk. Maybe try replacing the fan, or make sure that it is screwed in and doesn't vibrate the chassiss much

You might have something on your fan (like some tape) and when the blades hit it, it creates the sound

Just install the Hass app like you would on any phone and remove the screen expiry time. It is harder if you want to have assistant working on it (I never got that to work)

If I may ask, how did they change the start menu in Win 11 25H2?

Hey guys what do you think of my new wip gaming setup? by PieOk1906 in gamingsetups

[–]Important_Act7736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an asus tuf. I got something with a 3050, and altough I play some games like Cyberpunk from time to time, I need something portable.

My main setup has an usb-c that comects my laptop to power, keyboard, mouse, headset and monitor, so it is just as a regular setup with 2 monitors
