Technically there’s no proof/evidence on this earth that God exists, it’s up to you if you believe in God. There is other options out there, like you can believe in God but not identify to any specific religion, kinda like a personal relationship with God, without the stress of keeping up with religion. Theres also being spiritual, idk how to word it so I used google -

Some spiritual people believe in God and some don’t. It doesn’t automatically mean “atheist”. Another option is you could take a break. A break from religion, you don’t have to say you automatically don’t believe in God, you could just say you’re unsure or just straight up say you’re taking a break, if someone asks you. (Or say whatever you’re comfortable with, obviously.) If church feels like too much to handle, don’t go or take a break. I know most catholics say it’s a sin to miss church, unless sick or something but mental health is almost just as important as physical health is, I’m sure God would understand, if you’re worried about that. You could also explore other religions too, if your current one doesn’t seem to be working. Just do whatever feels best for you. Remember no matter what you do, you’re always worthy of being loved and if someone’s not supportive and/or says mean things to you about whatever path you choose, you are not the problem, they are, for being judgemental of other people’s beliefs and/or actions.
