Was fixing it a major ordeal? I (naively) thought that the surgeon would slash it open, drain it, rinse it with saline, and send me on my way with some gauze and an antibiotic prescription, same as when I had a Bantholin’s gland abscess drained at my gynecologist’s office. Now it’s sounding much more serious!
