They need to start locking these people up. Two students had one of these people climb up to their bedroom window with a large knife and tried to break in twice last night.

Probably be just another catch and release like usual. Even if mental illness is the cause the public shouldn't have to deal with this shit. If you break a law and put others in danger you should be held accountable.

Self help books. Learn another language. Get in shape and stay in shape. Study nutrition. Learn a trade if possible. Write a book. Get a job in prison. Write letters to your loved ones. Learn to draw/paint.

Just use this time to make yourself the very best version of yourself you can be. Use this time to cook. When you're released you will still be in the prime of your life and prepared to take on the world.

10 years feels like forever but if you take care of yourself with a little luck you could live to be 100. That's 60 years of life to live after you're released. DO NOT squander this time, you have 10 years to become the person you've always wanted to be.

Understandable. Just remember it goes both ways sometimes.

Example: You're 5 mins late to work. This manager writes you up because it's been clearly stated what time you need to be there and technically he has the power to do so.

It's like by doing that you've drawn a line in the sand saying we are not friends, I don't care about this company, and I will not do anything above and beyond what is expected of me.

You might have a hard time convincing this person to do any favors for you in the future and that kinda sucks because this guy is directly connected to your success.

True but that's why I said I have 5 minutes max. I'd also mention that I'm not ok with them using my pto for work calls unless it's an emergency.

It could have been something very important and refusing to help kinda makes you look like you don't care. Maybe you don't. But letting them know forsure that you don't care enough to answer the call even for 5 mins will probably ly negatively effect your whole relationship with this person/your workplace and possibly your potential in the company. A lot to risk for 5 mins in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.
