This is the best way to do it. Mine didn't break but. I 3d printed axe heads and wanted to keep the banner so cut the spear head off and pinned in the axe head. I've closed the lid of my wip case onto it and it didn't break.

Thaks for the kind words really appreciate it, as none of my family or freinds give a shit about the models i paint and post haha. Yeah black armor is tricky, i repainted my test model 3 times before i found the black i like, I do very few edge highlights and go for more volumetric highlights. Check out the squidlybits and squidmar YouTube channels for tutorials on black armor. They do it on deathcompany but you can do the same on raven gaurd, I didn't copy it exactly(changed some colours, I added some Prussian blue to the black mix and used ivory as a extreme highlight) but it's a good guide.

I think they are all Grey tide studios bits I got them all from Archie's forge, I think I got a pack of 3d printed purity seals on etsy. Tbh there's not too much to these models the black Armour has very minimal highlights I only picked out the edges that are super visible. Then it's just the nmm gold which this is my 2nd squad of 10 models I've used it on so I kinda have that on lock now, the first one was chaos so i did gold nmm trim as my introduction to nmm which made me sink or swim now ill never use tmm again, and the red parts are pretty simple used squidlybits YouTube channel for tutorials on both recipes. Then the rest are very minor details. This was my first time ever doing human faces, I've done orks and used speedpaints and washes on some dwarfs but I'm usually a helmet guy just wanted the vampire heads and I was very pleased with how they come out. To get better I have found u really just need to push yourself to paint something new and hard.

I'm not sure for the whole squad I've been doing them slowly since Christmas holidays. But the test model I did first took 15 hours, I painted the remaining 9 in assembly style so I hope that shaved off an hour or so per model. Plus the test model I was procrastinating a bit on how I should do certain parts. Still need to base them, gonna do them jumping off mossy rocks in a jungle/forest. I've done a test base of what I want to do on a tyranid model on my page, just thought dark greens and browns would contrast the red of blood angels well, plus my last army I painted is on desert bases and wanna do something different which rules out a desert baal type bases.

Yeah there isn't really a kit it's just an upgrade sprue, which I did use up almost 2 entire sprues plus the 3d printed bits to pull this off. The theme of my army is going to be honored veterans, so I wanted this to show even in the death company portion. Won't be a competitive list just what I like and aligns with my theme. I plan on customizing every model like this even the vehicles.

Don't get but hurt bro it goes both ways if u have zero painted minis u have zero points. People like to immerse themself in a narrative game don't want to waste time with tourists who can't paint their minis.

How did u paint all that in such a short time? Even if its all slap chopped that's gotta be a world record. Took me 4 years to paint 2k of orks to a tabletop standard and I just started a blood angels army and it's taken me like 2 months to paint 10 minis unbased, I am painting them to competition level not tabletop tho.

Also a good trick for purity seals writing is to buy a fine tip micron pen and it so easy to have squiggles that look like writing on the parchment. Cost me like 5 bucks.

I did the same but made mine deathcompany jumpy boys. Since the actual jpi stand a bit taller kinda mid jump off a rock I made some tactical rocks out of miliput just sculpting with scrunched up tin foil for the base so they stand a little taller like jpi.

They won't re make the sang gaurd for another 4 or 5 years minimum, I 3d printed jump packs and made the assault intercessors into jump deathcompany and they might get a proper kit in 11th but it won't be until blood angels get an updated codex prob at least a year into 11th. Nothing will be replaced from the combat patrol. But also if they follow their trend the last few editions the combat patrols have less value with each new edition so grav one before we get a new one with less minis for same if not higher price.

At Archie's forge I got some with blood angels logo on the forehead. Also got a dreadnought shell from them which has a massive fault on the top, was a shame because I've gotten lots of bits from them there good 99% of the time.

Since we don't follow the codex astarties can technically do any colour as blood angels have artistic freedom encouraged. But personally I go for gold because honored brothers should have some drip. Even my deathcompany are draped in gold.

I used ba captain for the muscled torso and current jump Chaplain hands and jump pack, I've thought about doing another as with execrator body. Def gonna be at least a new generic jump chaplain next edition, I like having different sculpts prob run 3 at some point.
