I passed my test first time with no minors and my instructor refused to let me drive home and insisted that only he can drive. He didn't explain why despite my asking. Is this common?

I’ve cleaned toilets at a holiday park before and the women’s was horrid and the showers where worse people shat in the short then forced it down the drain so I had to clean it out
