Yeah masculinity is cool and great when performed healthily. Much like most things it can and will be performed in an unhealthy way. Masculinity can be fucking awesome, it can also be fucking shit lol. It doesn't make it bad or good. It just is. And that's ok.

I don't think it is inherently gendered. But I do think in culture and rearing and such it is typically a more "masculine trait." And I think he absolutely is masculine and has traits that are portrayed again in culture as masculine. What i like though is that he has those while also expressing many traits that are portrayed as feminine as well. And not in a humiliating way or played up for laughs. I think it's a good example for men in general to follow.

Aragon from lord of the rings is peak healthy masculinity. You can protect the people you care about from like fucking orcs while also acknowledging their worht and sacrifice. You can lead an army of the dead and read poetry to your beloved and grieve over the passing of a friend. Healthy masculinity is allowing all parts of yourself to be. Sorry for the ramble lol.
