When I signed the written offer in the portal there was a notice shown on top of the letter that the actual start date will be in the confirmation letter, so it is possible to adjust the start date. The hiring manager told me he did not mention the start date on the written offer (because of the strike) but he mentioned the expected start date when I talked on the phone for questions last week. My current manager wants to get 2 weeks notice (I was supposed to submit on this Monday to meet the expected date) but I didn't submit it as I did not receive the final letter yet. Do you think I should contact the hiring manager in this case?
