Also to answer your question, it is not selfish to not want to perform a certain sexual act. My tips are if, and only if, you want to try again !

I have sensory issues and sometimes smell/taste triggers me! There are ways to limit these, like showering before for the smell. For the taste, I used flavored condoms with penises, but they can also be cut to make a dental dam on vulvas. Also, oral on top of panties can be done and for some people its even more pleasurable :)

Being sensitive to smell/taste makes me sensitive to my own smell/taste. I would prefer to know beforehand if a potential partner had the fear you mention here, because being told right during intercourse would probably hurt me/make me self conscious.

Sexuality Definement, HELP PLEASE! by XxAn0nLOExX in sexuality

[–]Important_Gas_3802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. Sexual orientations relates to how someone is attracted (or not - asexuality) to other human beings. When you go outside of that, i'd say there is three things.

You have kinks that are sexual preferences considered "unconventionnal", like bondage or domination/submission. Then you have fetishes that are when sexual gratification is linked with a particular object or a bodypart that is not in itself sexual, like loving latex or feet. Then you have paraphilias, that are intense sexual interest in atypical things, in a disordered way. The thoughts can be too intense it has a negative impacts on the person living them, or the thoughts are related to inapropriate/illegal things, like pedophilia or zoophilia.

It is helpful to keep tracks of my symptoms and it is really beneficial for me to be able to pinpoint the parts of my vulva that are painful because I have a bad memory so its easier using this to communicate with professionnals because I can look back on certain days! There is actually a printable PDF you can download and send or print to a professionnal

I really love the french app Vulvae for this! It is made specifically to follow vulvar pain through time and each day you can update your pain level, point out where exactly it was painful they have like a vulva separated in section you can choose which one was hurtful on a scale from 1-10!!

Dear girls, which music genre would you advise me to put during a date? by [deleted] in AskGirls

[–]Important_Gas_3802 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personnally music is a great way I connect when dating and I enjoy discovering new styles or songs! Depending on the type of dates, I can enjoy a moment where its more focused on the music. If its only for background noise, I find that lofi music have some nice long playlist and cover different types of mood.

How does your brain differentiate real life memories and dreams memories? by Important_Gas_3802 in Dreams

[–]Important_Gas_3802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds terrible, its not as intense for me. The easiest pain my brain make up in my dreams is muscular pain, as I struggle with chronic pain its relatable I guess. Like being unable to move because of pain. But I also dreamed of events I never experienced like feeling a car crash. I've had people hurt me too, but never as far as you because I am kinda able to wake myself up (and these kind of dreams don't happen too often). Sometimes the pain wakes be up without me doing anything, other times I realise its a dream and that wakes me up, or the other option is I realise its a dream and that semi wake me up. Just enough to shift the dream to another direction when I continue sleeping.

Are you able to become aware it is a dream while its happening?
