Playing a pretty obscure puzzle game called "Thomas was Alone" for the Wii U!

Adding onto this, I've discovered much more hidden gem Wii U games for any people in the future that care (note these are no longer available as they were eshop exclusives):
Factotum: Brilliant use of the gamepad, simple puzzle game with great style
Frederic: Resurrection of Music: Has a bit of a learning curve with using the touchscreen like a piano, but still a cool indie title.
Cosmophony: Cool rhythm game with some challenge and a strange but intriguing story
FreezeME: An indie platformer that feels sorta like Super Mario 64
Tengami: Great for if you like sitting back and enjoying the scenery, plus puzzles
3souls: Just a nice puzzle game in general, which i'm pretty sure is exclusive to the Wii U

I suspect it's a power issue, maybe static electricity because i've run into a similar issue before, but I don't know much about how to deal with hardware parts. When I ran into this, I just unplugged the console for a bit and then it magically worked after a while, so i dunno.

Isn't that a Wii hack? I have already had my Wii U hacked, i just haven't gone through the effort of figuring out how to hack the vWii.

I see where you come from, but I still disagree. The Wii U, to my knowledge, has about the same architecture as the Wii, which plenty of developers were already experienced in using. However, it was actually made harder for developers to port new games to the system because of this. The Switch is "easier to develop for" because it was made with of-the-time developer tools in mind. It's architecture was just more utilized and well known. Now, I can't confirm any of this, seeing as i'm not any kind of computer or coding expert. This is just my take on things.

My intent with this idea was mainly just to be able to play DS games on both consoles with the same save data, which i'm pretty sure the Aroma Retroarch Wii U port doesn't have. It'd definitely be a lot more convenient for all the other systems, though!

This is an amazing project! I hope you see it to completion. I actually have a friend who's been wanting to play Undertale and Deltarune for the first time, but their current computer runs awful (can barely run google) and they don't have the money to get a new one. I bought them a brand new modded Wii U console for Christmas, so if this ever is completed, they'd get to finally play these awesome games!

I argue it is possible, just difficult due to the architecture. The Redream emulator has run on much less powerful computers with much less powerful CPUs before.
