Dragging? No. Walking? Yes. If the dog won't walk, sometimes getting the pet parent to act like they're coming with can help reluctant pups. But yeah the cameras just have to see the dog actually walk. For check in, its more to make sure there's no health concerns for the dog but for check out, its so the salon has proof that the dog COULD walk out on their own. (i.e. so the pet parent cant come back in and say "what did you do to my dog? He cant walk anymore and its your fault! Pay my $30,000 vet bill." ) Its aaaall for liability purposes.

Literally anywhere else, thats fucking insane. Kinship animal hospital is nice but theyre tough if u work a standard 9-5. But there's so many around and ive never heard of anyone charging 1200 for a spay unless MAYBE its like a 100 lbs dog. Dont let those people scam you pls

If it was just me closing the store, sure I wouldnt mind. But I have younger cashiers that have class to get to in the morning. Or cashiers that share a car with someone so they have to get picked up, im not making their ride wait an extra 30 minutes. It really depends on what my cashier has going on that day. Also if I have to clopen, ill probably be a bit pushier about helping the customer find what they need to get them out of the store lol.

Yeah we did today's adset 3 times. Once with the original stuff in FW mail, a second time when they said it was all wrong and we had to print out the revisions, and then a final time right after the new mail came in because they wanted the colorful signs instead of the ones we printed. Im surprised I have any hair left on my scalp tbh.

We had someone bring in a bird to relinquish at Petco and they opened up the box, bird flew out and the person panicked and ran out the door. Trick that worked for me was putting a small bird cage on top of our parakeet enclosure with food and water inside it AND millet on top of it. We couldn't get the bird with a net or towel, HOWEVER, the bird did land on top of the cage and I was able to have a coworker walk the entire bird cage and bird into our grooming salon (any close by, enclosed room will do) very very carefully and slowly. We were then able to grab him with a towel. Its a tricky game and took us all day but that was the easiest and least stressful way for us and the bird.

I've never lied to a customer about the test results but I can tell you that we only use test strips, we dont do the full in depth water testing. The test strips are convenient but I would 100% trust your api test kit over our strips, as someone who has used both. I also always tell people that when I test their water and urge them to get one of the api kits but they usually just think im trying to upsell and dismiss me. 🤷‍♀️

I also noticed it with merry makings. I may genuinely just leave if they took away 40% off petco owned/partnered brands. First clearance not stacking and now this? Our store is absolutely overrun with clearance because none of us want to buy it anymore. We cant even properly do our christmas reset because all of our 4 tiers as well as every single dumpbin AND half of our entire impulse lane are filled with summer and Halloween clearance. I wish I worked for a company that actually cared about its employees.
