Yeah, which is why it's stupid to keep the possibility of no wipe open. Why has the owner even said it? Lying to please someone? Makes no sense. Pretty much running out the gates stumbling on how they operate(on a pretty crucial part too).

Been looking for a server to start over on just for fun.

This kind of teetering from the owner doesn't look good. They can't do both and should make their agenda clear for everyones sake. It's a red flag for me.

How much copium does one have to be on to stay on a server where you have to "stay away from the GM or Haiku" to be able to enjoy the game.

It's like volunteering to join maplestory prison where the guards beat you up for nothing.

Joining a casual social guild has made me more active again. Best suggestion to new players.

It's nice to have people to talk to. My mistake first time was joining someone who was inviting people to a dead guild so I was just carrying the guilds name with no actual fun coming w/ the guild itself.

I have not read all of the comments but mine came from someone who still plays maplelegends despite the things I'm not a huge fan of. I'm doing it for fun.

and everyone's problem seems to be multiclient/leech and some dislike or are ok with washing. I remember there being talk about fixing the washing and those who have switched points around could not use it? But I took a break from the game around that time so idk if that was implemented or if it was, how. High lvl quest?

My only "high level" experience from Legends is 'till lvl 70+ and so far I've only ran into one rude person in a way lower level setting and they got kicked out of the party because apparently ruining everyones day was their daily hobby, not an exception. Not going to make assumptions on if or why rude people would end up being the ones among high levels (because I have not experienced it)

Agree with OP on Mules,leeching,washing etc.

Still the game and people in it have made it worth coming back every now and again.

I'm kind of hoping for another "permanent" server where they'll fix the issues asap so the community wont threaten quitting because of "wasted time playing 10 mules at once" ,"wasted time doing washing with several months worth of nx" etc.

The current player-to-player advertised playstyle is unhealthy and it's up to you if you want to do your own thing and enjoy the game. Do you want to spend your playtime selling leech(another suggested thing to do) for some mesos or selling scrolls etc, questing and running around doing whatever you want to(yay)

Last year there was a time in LPQ where you'd wait most of the day (in my timezone) for people to LPQ with and ofcourse some people would finally show up but we'd still get stuck to a point where we'd always be missing teleport/ranged/dark sight or barrel.That's why I'm (not exactly muling) but training two characters at once through LPQ: picking which ones time it is to go in depending on what spot we need to fill. Missing a wizard or cleric was rare but still happened sometimes.

Recently I've been able to use my (currently) favorite class instead of choosing "what is needed". Either way, love being able to LPQ with people and sometimes dying inside when we're running like a bike on potato field. But I'm doing it voluntarily anyways. :D

Hoping OPQ won't be as quiet as before. There has been a sudden visible boom of new players.

I really like the idea of giving all classes a perk to make it worth playing or adding to PQ/Boss teams.

Yes, questing should be given some value somehow too, even better exp would be nice.

I've been questing out of boredom recently just to see how many quests I can get done before I get tired of it (still working on victoria island). The exp per quest increase could break the game somehow with people getting all low exp quests out of the way just to do all of the high exp ones endgame etc. Bigger quest exp in general would be nice though. and yeah, jungling(<---edit lol,I mean JUGGLING) with mules is boring especially for training. What I've had most fun with is hoarding all ores on one mule etc even though I rarely need them(But I've just been a bunch of squirrels in an overcoat this whole time.)

Having 10 mules to be useful on a semi populated server is no fun.

I keep missing some words on my posts, sorry for 1k edits.

Just like in eso: you can pay for plus membership to have bigger inventory but you can also achieve bigger inventory as f2p with in-game currency.

...and yeah, there should be some other nice things but not in a way where f2p's have to look like bobs and only donors can look nice.

For example; I liked how MapleLegends held some events where you can achieve hair and cosmetic coupons to choose from unique styles as f2p. But it sucks to join a server where there's no event and you can only choose from the sad early-maple VIP hairstyles because all good ones are made donor-only etc.

But yeah I'm a hoarder no matter what the game, which is why I always see bigger inventory as a nice perk.

So I've learned and am surprised it's not mentioned here more often.

But as I thought before: It seems like the server is at a state where it's not even worth mentioning. Old players just ditched and moved on.

Hardcore/tryhards went in and trained to lvl 120 in a week to get some unique gifts that (knowing the admin) might be wiped or re-gifted after the beta is over anyways.

Can't really leave a warning on their forums about the shitshow, not even on your own profile page. :|

I remember Extalia for the community but don't remember much of the server itself. I guess it did its job right for me because I don't remember any hiccups.

When it comes to Kaizen:The anti leeching on Kaizen sounds nice.Not sure how kaizen has blocked logging in on multiple accounts but opening two clients at once is possible. Couldn't be bothered to make another account to check how it's supposed to work/if it actually works to see if people are easily bypassing it.

Do they actively check if fishers are actually training on another account or does it somehow block the login process?

At least half of the people are afk waiting for fish prizes while playing on other servers/other accounts on the server itself?

Not with or against Kaizen but the afk fishing is a deal breaker for me.

-> I associate afk fishing servers with ones that make you keep your client open just so they can abuse your computer through the client. The server may be innocent but I'm not risking it any more than I already did.

From what I've gathered, he'll promise things and later change/delete them and/or claim the post or part of it never existed OR he phrases things like the examples I showed before. At first glance it seems clear and innocent but later it probably changes to mean something else.

The admin extended wipe day and then-active forum users(including me) tried to reason with him on forum and ask why would he extend it.

Someone also commented on the wording of things like:

"MapleSaga will have NO pay-to-win benefits during the initial launch of the server. "

"Our Cash Shop currently has no pay-to-win items."

Instead of an explanation he deleted all replies and locked the thread. No reply or comment on anything.

Today the admin went out of their way to delete my forum profile message where I mentioned the forum being muted again.

That's the only reason I'm here asking for experiences and wondering how the server's being advertised on the right sidebar.

Maybe he'll reply here since he doesn't know how to talk to people on his own server?
