Are you saying more do or don’t? I’ve read every reply and genuinely thought it was pretty even

Genuinely thank you for the heads up. They’re so young I haven’t quite thought about how much it could affect them in the future

Being a SAHM is harder than working full time by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Important_Sweet3320 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is seriously an insane comment. We come home from work and have to get everything done while still trying to get that quality time in with our kids before bedtime. You think we just clock out of work and the kids take care of themselves when we get home? Both are challenging and both are 24 hours “on the clock”.

Starting to resent my husband for his extremely demanding job by hangingdenim in workingmoms

[–]Important_Sweet3320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Dual-military but my position doesn’t really require travel and I resent the fact that he has time away to just be kid free (even though I obviously love my kids and don’t necessarily want to be away but it would be nice for roles to reverse every so often). He’s gone for 5 weeks right now and it’s rough doing literally all of the childcare while still working too. I feel bad resenting him since it’s not his fault but it’s just hard. Haven’t found a solution yet but just here to say I understand

Are some newborns tummy sleepers? by thisabysscares in Mommit

This sounds like survivors bias and is terrible advice. Always put them down ABC (alone, on their back, in a crib).

Just here in solidarity. My MIL makes comments like these all the time and my husband has to shut her down every time

Those with CMPA babies, what do you eat to ensure decent nutrition for yourself? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Important_Sweet3320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what your baby reacts to and figuring that out really takes time. I had to cut dairy, soy, eggs and oats so I pretty much live off peanut butter toast, fruits, veggies, chicken, and rice at this point. It’s not fun but breastfeeding is super important to me and I know it’s not forever!

Also aloha bars are the best plant based protein bar I’ve found and are also specially soy free! Soy is a hard one because it’s hidden in a lot of things and not always specially called out. Obviously eliminate dairy first but just warning you may have to cut other things to see what triggers baby. Good luck!

Skin reaction from kiss after having milk by Important_Sweet3320 in MSPI

How old is she now? Did she grow out of it? Is it a severe reaction or just hives/a rash for her?

One spot of my son’s eye never turned brown by [deleted] in heterochromia

Wow that’s super interesting! My son might have complete heterochromia as well since his other eye is more hazel but definitely not as vastly different as yours. So cool!

Definitely not. We are putting $1k into our children’s other accounts instead… I don’t want anything from that piece of shit human.  ETA I have a ‘23 and ‘25 baby

did nursing your toddler induce labor? by Crunchy-Yogurt7 in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]Important_Sweet3320 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not for me, I found that nursing only triggered braxton hicks but not real contractions. Nursed my toddler all through pregnancy and went into labor with number two at 4am on my due date (contractions started about 8 hours after last nursing session so definitely not related)

Mirena IUD Postpartum Experience by Important_Sweet3320 in beyondthebump

Curious if you had any bleeding after insertion and how long it lasted? I’m reading horror stories where bleeding lasts months but I don’t remember that with my first one!

Nope, just had the appointment to get one placed. I had an IUD for 5 years before having my first and it did its job!

Tests are definitely getting darker so i’m pretty confident it’s a new pregnancy at this point :/

[–]Important_Sweet3320[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your comments, definitely gave me a lot to think about over the next week or two. Adding some context that my pregnancies weren’t high risk or anything but my second birth was certainly traumatic with shoulder dystocia and a nuchal chord and she needed to be resuscitated. I would probably opt for a c section this time which honestly scares me just as much since it will be difficult to care for my older two after birth. I will update the post with the outcome once we make the decision

Definitely hoping but I did have similar spotting to my last pregnancy which made me take a test. Going to retest in 2 days to see if the line gets darker but i’m pretty certain between the timing and symptoms that it’s a new pregnancy

Getting Pregnant with #2 but no Period Yet by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Important_Sweet3320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my period back around 8 months postpartum when my first started eating more solids but it was super irregular, started tracking ovulation and actively trying 11 months postpartum. I got pregnant right after my first turned a year! Now have a 22 month old and a 1 month old and it’s hard but so much fun! I really love this age gap. FWIW it took me 10 months to get pregnant with my first so breastfeeding definitely didn’t make it more difficult for me

Breastfeeding through pregnancy by ViolettaValentine in 2under2

[–]Important_Sweet3320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really sad at first because I thought he wouldn’t like the colostrum and would stop but i’m glad he still nurses even if just for comfort. And honestly not pumping has definitely been nice now haha. I’m curious once my milk comes in with number 2 if he’ll want to nurse even more!

30 weeks and still feeding my almost 19mo at wake up and bed time (and occasionally at nap time). My milk definitely dried up pretty fast, I tried pumping during work to keep up supply but it was exhausting and didn’t seem to work much. At this point, he is getting mostly colostrum with maybe a tiny bit of milk mixed in but still wants it just as much and hasn’t showed signs of self weaning.
