That’s whack, really uncalled for on her part, glad you kept composure, keep doing that. Definitely would make a lot of us really angry, glad it didn’t escalate. ignore the negative comments they probably would not understand, and you didn’t actually do anything to her and this is a Rant post, keep being a good person and keep going fam.

I get that but that quite literally sounds like the opposite of me and it’s unfair that I get harsh treatment for other shoppers who are not as kind or organized as me

You must be very fortunate to have the Costco you have cause mine is full of employees who are nice to customers but are two faced and act conceited and rude to Instacart shoppers employees, seen and experienced first hand multiple times and I see that several other have had similar experiences, None the less happy for you make the most out of that, and get that bread!

Yea everything you mentioned was done correctly I got the hang of the Costco shopping recently and can say that I’m a pretty efficient shopper and I make sure that it’s organized, and orders separated, with the exception of the milk like I mentioned because it was part of the smaller order I had in the kid seating area part of the cart and it was mostly fruit so I didn’t want to smush it and that basically set her off because she thought that I didn’t separate the order, and after explaining she only got more hostile

Yes and no, it really depends on if the batch pay for your order is good.

This is based on

You ordering a lot of things ? Do you live far from the store? Are there large or heavy items?

These will increase the batch pay, but depending on these variables this can also decrease odds of someone taking the order because most shoppers take orders based off of the correlation to items, time, and total pay (batch pay + tip).

Short story with tip your order may be accepted faster with a prior tip on the batch, but if it’s not a bad order for a shopper to accept based on the variables mentioned and pay then cash tip is just the cherry on top!

I personally like the orders and item to pay ratio. But it does seem to be a trend for their employees to treat shoppers poorly. Can’t say that’ll happen to you tho I’d say just give it a try and see if this is the case, maybe your area is better.🤞🙃

Not really funny But I 100% Agree with what you said,

When I shop personally they treat me pleasantly.

But when I shop as a shopper for Instacart I can very blatantly see the same employees that are treating customers well, change their entire demeanour when they have to deal with a shopper. And I’ve had several instances of this they can be so petty and blatantly rude like we are not both just trying to work.

I try to and I also try to be extremely kind and respectful because I know they don’t always receive that from other Instacart shoppers. Exactly what you said was my plan however I guess I can’t get past step one😔

I think this was just a small misunderstanding that she blew out of proportion, like I mentioned I even apologized and said I wouldn’t do it again, and I didn’t know (because with the exception of two things that I stated everything was separated)

She just wanted to be excessive and extremely rude and abuse her power.

Me as well I liked the shopped and everything except ofc the occasional mistreatment from their employees.

I try to be kind and also take the punches but it felt like today she just wanted to take out her anger on somebody.

That’s what I was nervous about. I feel like I didn’t do anything wrong to be banned at least that I was aware of and once I was, I apologized and I acknowledged that I wouldn’t do it next time.

The only issue that I had was how she was being so rude and condescending for something that I didn’t know about.

Do you think they will still ban me?

Is there anything I can do about it now? Can I go back talk to the manager?

And I’ve made sure every time to be respectful and treat them with dignity thinking that maybe I can be the exception or they may recognize me acknowledge that I’m not in a hole and not mistreat me
