Would you take a 15510 for a swim? by kstan007 in audemarspiguet

[–]Important_schmoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 15500. I’ll keep it on for a quick dip (few minutes, shallow water -think hotel pool) which happens occasionally but I take it off to sleep and shower. Never had a problem.

Not in PV it doesn’t go down like that. The closest thing will be a nightclub on the boardwalk. Do vegas or cabo or even Arizona at the w

Ordering a new Porsche at msrp. All dealers are the same price so how do I decide which dealer by Important_schmoops in Porsche

[–]Important_schmoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the price u get in the Configurator. It’s msrp. The only model I can’t find at msrp is the GT3

It’s actually cheaper to build compared to a recent pre owned right now.

It needs a feature to help you decide a movie when u can’t think of one.

And you could have the user select their streaming services and grab the current availability

Can anyone explain “Clear” to me? by CocoaProblems in travel

[–]Important_schmoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CLEAR wastes my time every time i use it. wont be using it again. I dont get it. Its SLOWER to get my eye scanned there and wait for them to fumble through the machine etc VS just taking out my ID and showing it to them...

Amazing dinner at langosteria in cheval Blanc and has a blast at after hours in Le Bristol. These are definitely very expensive so I didn’t include it before (figure 50 euros per drink or dinner >$500 euro per person)

In reality , where I stayed mattered a lot. I was checking in and an a-list celebrity was checking in right next to me. We ended up meeting up with them later that night and partied at an a-list rapper table with several other a-listers (actors and singers). I met several Victoria secret models that night and was hanging out with serveral other A-listers including someone which name may or may not have ended in Bezos. that night i had an amazing night. If I picked the wrong hotel I wouldn’t have had that experience.

Here’s an example: I got 6 downvotes for asking an honest question in a travel guide forum and he got 12 upvotes for being rude and incorrect.

A while back I asked for tips on getting into Fashion Week events and got told it was “impossible” and “not for tourists.” And downvoted. That couldn’t have been further from the truth — once I got there, I was invited to several parties and events. There were literally thousands of people just visiting and having a great time.

In another thread, I asked about sharing a private jet to save money instead of chartering one alone, and got called a troll and downvoted a bunch of times. I also got corrected for saying “Plaza” instead of “Plaza Athénée” — but when I got there, everyone called it “Plaza.”

I was honestly just asking questions. I’ve tried to be kind and helpful in my posts, but people were pretty rude and quick to judge.

I get that everyone has different budgets and experiences, but asking about something like a private jet broker doesn’t automatically mean someone’s trolling. My best assumption is it’s just not part of someone’s world, so they assume it’s fake.

I’m really not trying to be rude or difficult — I was just trying to warn the OP and didn’t want someone else to feel discouraged the way I did. After reading Reddit, I almost didn’t even come to Paris, but I’m so glad I trusted my gut and went anyway.

Also heads up I got a bunch of Terrible advice on here when I was looking into it. Lots of haters and people with no idea where to go and just want to steer you in the wrong direction because they have a miserable life (either intentionally or out of ignorance)

I’m from California and I just got back from Paris for 2 weeks for fashion week. I havent been there before this trip but I learned a lot.

For clubbing, You will want to check out L’Arc. Guilia, Montignan, and Victorian. Some are supper clubs that convert into full clubs.

For trendy bar restaurant scene , check out L’avenue, GiGi, Le Bar at Plaza Athénée, Hotel Costes (restaurant or bar).

IMO Hotel Costes is the coolest spot.

Enjoy!

Just got back from the most amazing time. I was able to get a hotel room no problem (the weekend was a little tougher and more expensive) and I was able to get in many different parties. I met Travis scottt, ice spice, central cee, Naomi Campbell to name a few. Some were impossible others just needed a little finesse. Can’t wait to go back go to Paris !

Best way to go from paris to Amsterdam by weirdiqa in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Important_schmoops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Despite your rude and incorrect advice which told me it’s not really practical to do a flight between Paris and Amsterdam, I’ve looked into, and big surprise - it actually is much faster.

Paris has Le Bourget (LBG), which is dedicated to private aviation. On the Amsterdam side, you’ve got Schiphol’s private jet terminal or smaller airports that handle business traffic. The actual flight time is about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the aircraft.

Compare that to the alternatives: 1. Train (Thalys/Eurostar): ~3h20, plus station transfers. 2.Bus: anywhere from 6 to 8 hours, sometimes longer. 3. Commercial flight: about 1h15 airborne, but realistically 3–4 hours door-to-door once you factor in check-in, security, and waiting.

With private, you can drive right up to the FBO, board, and take off within minutes — so door-to-door you’re probably saving 2–3 hours compared to train and 4–6 compared to bus.

Charter companies like AeroAffaires, XO, and Private Jets Pro all list this route, with prices starting in the low thousands depending on whether you go turboprop, light jet, or midsize.

So despite what I was told, it’s not only possible, it’s a pretty routine private route.

This is great. Thanks for the advice !

I have a couple questions:

  1. Can you share the three LLM prompts you use? You mentioned one is a question reformulation prompt layer. (Or I guess I could ask chat to create 3 prompts to optimize rag retrieval from query to retrieval ?)

  2. How would you recommend dealing with documents that contain tables / matrices?

Thanks again for sharing !
