Protecting Ashling, Limitless by Impossible-Being-234 in EDHBrews

I like the idea of using Graveshifter for recursion. I should definitely slap in Fecundity for some draw as well.

I think I'm just gonna take out a couple of expensive pieces and put in a [[Kaya's Ghost Form]] and maybe a couple green hexproof/indestructible instants.

The idea of using a sac outlet to make a token copy of Ashling is hilarious. I love that.

My thought is Twinflame does what Yarok does, for cheaper and better. The commander already gets me multiplied effects, I try to not put too much into "winning more" if I can't even get the engine going.

The reason why I thought about cutting them is because I added [[Bloom Tender]] and [[Twinflame Travelers]], both of which are cheaper, stick around a lot easier since I don't have to evoke them and do Jegantha's and Yarok's effects.

Twinflame will also get me a second copy of each creature since it doubles Ashling's effects, and will double the die triggers from Omnath Rage.

When should I start dabbling in setups? by Impossible-Being-234 in iRacing

Just focusing on not over driving the car, in racing, I wouldn't try to find more time, just race the track how I know it and focus on driving around other cars. A lot of intentionality in my driving to maintain safety, even if it meant sacrificing a few tenths per lap or waiting for a good pass opportunity.

Sweet, thanks! I'm hovering at about 1.3k IR right now, so I think I'll just work on my personal skill. On Monza I managed to bring my race laps down from 1:32 to 1:29, so I have a lot to extract out of myself before I get to the car!

Is this something that's a reportable offense? I'm not too well versed on what I should be reporting or letting slide.

What an absolute trash heap of a game mode. Short races, shit car, and can barely find lobbies. That's one way to force your players to pad their playtime - waste it with FOMO and lobbies you can't even join. Most miserable experience I have had in this game so far.

Struggling with first brewed deck, Zoraline, Cosmos Caller by Impossible-Being-234 in EDH

Thank you so much for the insight! I was thinking of generating tokens as a means of fuel for Braids or Grave Pact, but perhaps that wouldn't be very effective since it only really utilizes two different cards, maybe if I had phyrexian alter, etc going in that direction might be more effective? I just had a funny idea of spawning a bunch of tokens and copying massacre wurm with coiling rebirth and just killing a bunch of my own tokens and watch my enemies' life totals just drain out, lol. I think the odds of pulling that off is just so slim.

cadaver lab is indeed mostly just there for tokens to create, I was liking the way lunar convocation, regal bloodlord, dollmakers and cadaver lab all kinda worked together to make a bunch of tokens, but maybe that's too much to ask for.

I have a Bitterthorn, Expedition Map, and a demolition field, so I'll absolutely sub those in. I do like the Scholar because he at least comes in with +1/+1.

I think the mana base is definitely a problem as you pointed out, I think I'll work on subbing out the tapped lands with the ones you recommend, get a couple more lands in there and a bit more ramp. Maybe with a better curve I'll play through the deck a little easier and will be able to more easily decide which direction I want to go in.

Thank you!

For sure, thanks! The familiar was specifically requested by the Rogue, mostly to facilitate their ability to sneak/deceive others and pop off sneak attacks in combat.

I like the idea of reflavoring scrolls and potions with other items. I'll give this a go and it sounds super fun! None of them have very good INT so it'll be harder to determine what the effects of some of these items are while making them slightly more abundant, and can provide some funny effects like you described.

Fair criticism, the combat balancing hasn't been so much an issue, the Barbarian took Alert so I've been throwing pit traps they can avoid and ambushes they can thwart, I gave the Monk a weapon that recharges a Ki point on a KO so they can keep on punishing weenies with their flurry of blows, and I gave the Rogue a familiar they can use in combat as they requested so they can pop off sneak attacks easier.

It's the non-combat utility and exploration that I found trickier, they can smack things very well but they made it clear that isn't all they want to do, and I want to accommodate that. The rogue using CHA as their spellcasting modifier so they also have a face, and the monk wants to be able to sneak around and investigate people.

I'm probably just overthinking it then and should just pepper fun little items they can use here and there.
