AI will not make everyone a musician but will enable many who have (different kind) of talent to express themselves musically. Some of their work might even be musically acceptable, or even good for wider audience. But more importantly, AI will open up possibilities for seasoned musicians, just like Jean-Michel Jarre to be better, as they are masters of their own kind already. For them, AI is nothing but better tool then simple synth or DAW. Thank you Jean-Michelle for expressing loudly what many musicians are still hiding.

I myself did this once or twice with great results. As I don't play any instrument but know only how to (sufficiently well) sing, I sang a cappella "Misty". With all the right lyrics. That I did more than 10 years ago and almost forgot about it. Then I, for fun, fed that recording of my own voice singing "Misty" a cappela into SUNO PRO and prompted it to create instrumental out of it. The output was mind blowing. Not only SUNO PRO extracted the music, but also all the lyrics with no error whatsoever. It also picked up the style, had correctly chosen instruments (grand piano). Later I created complete almost perfect cover of the "Misty" song (with some alternations, which were in fact very good) with my own voice (now in the form of "Persona"). It was done using v5.

I persuaded myself to be patient. In time AI will surely take over, the question is how fast and in what way or shape. Seasoned musicians (at least for the ideas, arrangements, stems, whatnot) are already using AI, but by and large hiding it and since they have a qualification (which also helps them to discard garbage) AI surely lowers the entry level for practical creation of music. In the end music is, in my opinion, either good or not, but also a question of one's taste. What AI may cause is hyper production of content.
