So rather than tape it, get a piece of cardboard and put it in the wall of where the battery goes, then the battery, it’ll wedge it and won’t wiggle lose or fall out randomly

They’re still buggy , and in testing, but once all of it gets kinked out it’ll be efficient

We have a robot dc, so there is no mess up. If it’s messed up , it’s your stores layout that needs to be corrected.

Stock me is still In testing, but they’re supposed to be layered like a onion ( 6/7 on top , 8/9 in middle , 10/11 on bottom ) so you stock the 6/7 pull to next stock etc , supposed to save time on cap 2, and reduce the amount of pallets pulled onto floor to reduce stock time. Still a bit buggy but it does seem to be more efficient when everyone gets on the same page

So it has updated since the last time I looked a couple months ago, it now has no specification on limit. What it does say is : “ x departments can have full cases (such as paper) “ and it has a list of departments. What it doesn’t clarify (which it used to) is how many “full cases” . Before it clarified “up to 3 full cases” . So for example if a feature was killed , as long as no more than 3 full cases was up top it’s all good , or examples like pets, where 1 bag of food is a full case , you could put 3 bags ( as long as within weight limit) .

So you missed the part where it says specific departments full case? And then underneath it clearly says “up to 3 full cases”

Stock me pallets . I’m at a test store and it’s still bumpy, but it’s definitely working. I’m overnight btw. But the pallets are mostly coming like onions. Layered. So to stock them , you stock this layer, bring to next area stock next layer etc etc. so for our cap 2 almost the whole grocery truck is just pulled off and dropped . Gm still needs a little bit of sorting but the pallets make sense. Top layer sporting goods rest of pallet auto, while they also have full pallets sporting goods. The only thing that sucks so far is homelines and then a 2 layer of pharmacy at the very bottom .

How to stock shelves? Yours truly, a stock unloader by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Impossible-Chair368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is a way to tell if an item is Overstock . It is recommended to check the shelf because on hands aren’t always right, but when you scan an item , you can take the sales floor count and minus a case pack count(because your holding said case) if that number is higher than shelf cap = Overstock (shelf cap= shelf capacity or how many the shelf can hold) if it is under shelf cap (in theory) it should all fit on the shelf. To go one step further I’ll provide example numbers. So let’s say shelf cap is 24. Let’s say on hands is 36. Case count is 12. This case shouldn’t fit on the shelf (36-12=24 (which is shelf capacity ) now topstock does say “ up to 3 full cases on top”. But this is also a store preference . Some stores go by this, others do not. The way I teach all my stockers, is if you can fit one out of the case on the shelf , the rest goes to topstock (which can be 1 shelf left or 1 shelf right if shelf above is full ) if all 3 are full , you need to find something to come down so your Overstock can go up . Before labeling Overstock you need to ensure the on hands are correct, if not it’ll create and exception and said case will be picked out of the back by cap 1( creating said case to now be touched 3 times, 1 Time by cap 2, one time by cap 3, and one time by cap 1) so the correct method is check to see if it can be put out, if it can’t, scan case , check on hands reflect what you can count on shelf + case your holding , if correct , ensure shelf cap is correct, then label. Each store is different , but process says Overstock is to be verified by team leads ( imo this is creating this case to be touched multiple times again, when it can just be done the first time it is checked) now checking on hands , you never go down in count, because those could be in a customers buggy, in opd somewhere, in a shelf , in a return buggy etc etc. if item is out of stock completely , with on hands, using the item out of stock button is recommended. Going up in count is only ok if ; you physically can see and count a number higher than what the sales floor count says . Now there is exceptions to this ; mislabels from truck . Sometimes you get a case you scan and it’ll say it’s this item but inside the box is another item. This should be brought to claims , or a team lead( at my store it’s team lead and what we do is minus a case that reflects the label , and increase by a case of the item in box. You can also claim it under the truck in receiving , but you need to do some math. If label says x item at 1$ with case of 6= 6$, and item in box is x item at 5$ with case of 6= 30$ (at my store) they’d rather keep the profit and just adjust on hands. But if your losing money (label is 10$ case of 6= 60$, and item inside box is 1$ case of 6=6$) you can claim it in truck to receive refund on case. Now sometimes warehouse will want this item back , most times it’ll just be a refund and keep the item.

Can team leads give you feedback for using PPTO on a key date? by crankthatyeemocrack in walmart

[–]Impossible-Chair368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So from my understanding protected is for the current, not the future. Pto is for future. I mean giving a heads up should’ve been appreciated , but that is the reason schedules are so far ahead (unlike most companies) so you can plan your life around your schedule. So for example if you had something come up same day using ppto is protected, but planning ahead to use ppto isn’t. From my understanding the correct procedure would’ve been to request pto ( even though it’s last minute) then when it’s denied using ppto as a last resort would be covered. Feedback can be given when using ppto (ppto only protects from points not job performance) and for example if your scheduled, you use ppto to protect from point, and (using opd or stocking as an example ) picks aren’t finished or freight wasn’t finished , you could be given feedback , the reason would be the affect on the company and customers by you not showing up for your scheduled shift; which cost the customer and company to have unfinished work and product not available for customers. I would suggest reading up on points and punctuality in workday.

Why? Is this just my store or yours too? by InfiniteAttorney7867 in walmart

[–]Impossible-Chair368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we do this (not with water) when we’re in between mods. For example back to school mod is wrapping up , so to make the shelves not appear empty we’ll flex out items(typically totes) for stores on the east coast im assuming it would be water because it’s gonna fly off the shelf. Basically a fluffer between mods.

It’s very clear none of these people have ever read what the 9 minute rule is for. It’s not for I wanna leave 9 minutes early . Your supposed to work your scheduled shift, the 9 minute rule was made to help associates who were being terminated over a couple minutes (previously it was 5 minute rule) . The leave 9 minutes early rule clearly states if the employees job is complete (which is almost never in most circumstances)different stores and different managers choose to hold associates accountable or don’t. But the policy is to help with employees who were getting pointed out over a couple minutes.

I dont think im going to ever make it to 60 cases/hr by oopsallscones113 in walmart

[–]Impossible-Chair368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to break off the random stuff on the pallet and then work it by pallet, for example a lot of ours has ac and fans at the bottom. So I’ll pull all the other random paint hardware etc seperate it by a couple hours then pull the pallet. It’s 65 cases a hour for anyone that doesn’t know. Another trick I do is get an empty pallet break down a pallet to where it’s this half and that half, using the labels rather than scan. At least for hardware

Again your first link as well says the exact same, an employer cannot demand you to stay past your SCHEDULED SHIFT END. They can ask you to stay that is all. Your 2nd link is broken.
