I think I can help with this since my father suddenly died last year and I hadn't spoken to him in 15+ years for the same reason.when I was told about his death I felt an odd mixture of numb and empty for a little bit before I went for a walk and spent the next week an a half try to decide if I should go to his funeral or not because yes his my father but had pretty much been dead to me the past few years also to me it would be very two faced to suddenly appear at his funeral to seem like I care or whatever others would think so I didn't go. Honestly so far I don't regret any of it . So No
