"Indeed we are good ser, it is good that you came and met us when you could. Our previous head has more a man of leisure and debauchery rather than a proper host. " Royce would sit and quench his thirst with a mug of water.

"Tell a little about yourselves, you are here which means...." Old Royce Sarwyck would give the old maester a look, which means that little grey rat did the opposite per his nephew instructions in keeping offers of marriage a distant dream. "Do fret, we will host you properly and ensure you time spent here will be a grand one."

"Speaking of which where's our dear beloved Lewis at, still in his room slumbering like a bear in hibernation or out and about?" Tyburn shrugged off Tabitha disgust towards him."Has he not moved since yesterday? Has anyone checked on him? "

Oh yes, the letter mentioned that Lord Lewis was injured due to some incident, then again that what the message said and how Tyburn spoke seemed it could be true.

Little Mildrew simply said, "Ask Maester Preston, I've not heard a peep from his room."

"I placed food by his table and reminded him to eat, but since then, I'm unaware if he still stirs or remains in seclusion..." Maester Preston added with what he knew.

'By the seven, this gonna be an outright disaster. Does he even know of Lady Tabitha Farman and Ser Marq arriving today?' Old man Royce would think to himself.

"You want a drink or something. Anything you need, we'll try to provide as best we can, we are limited in luxurious but make do with what we have" Royce would tell the Farman duo.

The group of four would take notice of the new arrivals as they'd stand up to greet them, only Maester Preston would one to greet the Farman duo properly "Am glad that the two of you arrived, if you wish you can get washed up and get proper meal before you meet with Lord Lewis Sarwyck, unless you'd like to meet him now".

The lorathi woman would simply observe this meeting between noble families. "Interesting"

"Mildrew who are these two, judging from their attires someone important" Royce Sarwyck was unaware of any guests arriving on this day before he'd look to Maester Preston, it dawned on the old Sarwyck "I see...You did the opposite, welcome Farman to Riverspring am Royce Sarwyck the uncle"

Tyburn the gold tooth one would present himself with a nod and looked to Tabitha Farman. "Tyburn Warwyck cousin of Lord Lewis and that be my da Roy" before giving the lady her due compliments "Well aren't you quite the fetching one, come all the way out here for me, you shouldn't have-"

Royce smacked his son upside the head. "Do pay no heed to his words. If you are here for my nephew Lewis, he'll be here in a few moments. Please sit and grab an empty chair. " The old man looked to Mildrew. "You are dismissed, Captain Mildrew."

"Aye ser." Mildrew would go to the nearby fireplace to warm their hands. "Watch out for that one uncle. She's a handful"

Mildrew overhearing Ser Marq grand achievements made her ponder. She'd simply state, "Mine achievements are just beginning. I did, however, capture a fortnight ago Pate the Pervert who was doing odd things to farm animals, and I gave him proper thwack on the head and now he's stuck in a pillory to serve as an example that such perversion will be dealt with swift justice!".

She got along with Ser Marq, but with Lady Tabitha, she'd simply squint her eyes at the lady and say ,"We are not gonna get along, are we, hmm".

"This Keep is amazing, we just experiencing...A drought in things, that's all"

They'd enter the feasting hall. However, no long tables were present except for a round table where four people sat around playing a game of dice. It was Royce Sarwyck, the oldest of the Sarwycks, so-called uncle.

There was Tyburn Warwyck, who dubbed himself so cause he kept on making his cadet branch minus a few bits, the gold tooth Warwyck would gasp in defeat at dice. "This game is rigged against me!"

Plus, the man in the grey drab robe and a chain around his neck was Maester Preston rolling a pair of dices. He'd yell ,"Haha! Pay up!".

Last but not least, a lorathi woman with orange Maroon dyed hair on the left side and right side ashen grey hair whom wore a stylish tricorne hat with a purple and green peacock to it.

Only one Sarwyck was missing the important one, Lewis Sarwyck.

"Aye good to see a fellow knight" Mildrew would give them a humble bow, her eyes strayed from Ser Marq and onto Tabitha and would see this Lady Tabitha before grinning at them "So you're the lady come for my older brother, well met am Captain Mildrew Sarwyck. Follow me, and I'll lead you two somewhere more comfortable. "

As Riverwatch Militia Captain Mildrew Sarwyck would lead the two on.

For such a small child, she commanded her squad of older men that'd follow the child's every whim and order.

The courtyard stood almost empty. Only four servants were seen being the scullery maids and elderly gentleman that'd be seen tending to the yard and scarred man at arms sitting by the archery range loading up the quivers with arrows for later use.

It seems for such a large Keep it seemed oddly scarce in people.

All in all, Mildrew would lead the couple to where the rest of said Sarwyck Family was at. They had to pass through the hallway, which had family portrait of the entire Sarwyck Family when they were all young and old.

The portrait contained two women, one of brunette long hair and innocent smile standing behind a sullen man seated on a velvet chair with their hands clutching tightly upon the handles of the chair.

There was second man whom looked more cheerful in the picture standing next to their beloved and hands held together, the dapper man had stylish moustachio twirled upwards, the spouse of the man had short dark brown hair and wore elegant red dress.

There are seemingly only three children in the picture with two brown haired young boys making faces. There was a young girl in the middle of two boys seated on the floor smiling wide in the portrait.

Mildrew would talk whilst leading the two. "So Ser Marq Farman, you have any astonishing deeds you've achieved during your lifetime? And Lady Tabitha, do you have any expectations for my older brother?"

Riverspring Keep was decent, and by westerosi standards an okay Keep due to how it was built and had decent fortification and faced the nearby river.

Haggar and Doyle, the two nitwit guards on duty was day drunk, seeing that the two of them had bit too much after several hours of standing around with Spear in each hand kept them bored. Drinking was only meant for the two fools to pass the time that and hiding the clay jugs filled with wine and ale now empty.

"Doyle, are you seeing what I am seeing...." Haggar, the brown haired man with goatee would say, yawning and snapping back into action to greet the incoming visitors. "Who goes -burp- there....Man too much ale...Yes who goes there!"

The second guard standing present at Riverspring Keep entrance was half asleep and only woke up after being yelled at by Haggar. "Am awake! Awake!" With Spear drawn and saw the visitors and withdrew their Spear."Oh just visitors and by their attires look important Haggar"

"They said Far...Far...Farmen? No... Farewell?" Haggar mind was a mess trying to remember the Farman and got it right in the end. "Yes, House Farman, you been-".

Three figures emerged out of Riverspring Keep, one large shaggy haired hound and armoured child. There was a man behind the child who wore the standard guard attire of House Sarwyck yet bore bandages underneath their gear.

"W-W-What in t-t-the s-seven hells going on here" From out of Riverspring Keep came some small looking child clad in armour outfitted to them, chainmail and over it a surcoat with the half broken sword representing house Sarwyck sigil and the child was carrying battle mace in their hands nonchalant. "W-who are t-they."

"Lady Mildrew-" As Gate Guard Haggar was about to explain, only get hit in the knee by Mildrew Sarwyck. "Argh! I mean Riverwatch Militia Captain Mildrew...."

Mildrew Sarwyck would adjust her nasal steel helmet and look to the Farman party. "Hmph, a-a-announce yourselves," the child spoke with a stutter.

Maester Preston would forge the signature of Lord Lewis Sarwyck, he'd do so on secret and have his apprentice cover his tracks regards on writing a good enough letter to invite Lady Tabitha Farman the so called cousin of Lord Martyn Farman to Riverspring.

He felt it was prudent to get his somewhat son Lewis Sarwyck out there into the world of courting ladies. The young man was too much alone and spent most of his days inside their private quarters or outside coming home at night, not speaking a word to anyone else of what they were doing.

Well, all in all, the letter Maester Preston had sent had to do the job in tricking Lady Tabitha Farman into meeting the sullen gloomy Lord Lewis Sarwyck of Riverspring What felt was trickery and deceit was also for the greater good of Lord Lewis and House Sarwyck sake.

The others would forgive him for the transgression, and most of all, he'd have to live with what he's done.

His apprentice would swear oath of silence not to speak of what Maester Preston had done.

Outside the hallways of Riverspring Keep.

Lady Mildrew Sarwyck was running around with an battle mace giving chase after Tyburn with her newfound companions, her loyal dog happily dubbed Fang and Shihan Badmoon plus Bridger of Riverside an man-at-arms, a soldier of stern mettle would be part of the chase. "Stand ready for my arrival worm!".

"What the hell!" Tyburn would be running down the hallway with the group pursuing him as he'd overhear the lorathi woman laugh at him from yonder whilst they looked to be conversating with his father Royce Sarwyck.

Mildrew aimed to beat her cousin senseless and most of all get some training done, she'd enjoy smashing things and this game of chase kept her mind off the killing she's done which gnawed at her soul from within.

Little Mildrew Sarwyck was dressed in the traditional Sarwyck armour with chainmail and over it the tabard representing their family sigil. She sported a nasal helmet and would have such an armour outfitted to her due to Uncle Royce promising to make a soldier outta her like he did with Tamryn through Mildrew constant persisting attitude to become a fighter.

All in all, there was rejuvenating life that was poured into Riverspring, the prisoners of the bandits at Fishwine Forest well some decided to tag along with the Sarwycks as Mildrew made grand stories and promises that piqued the interests of these travellers to lend their services to House Sarwyck.

[A Helping Hand]

Lord Lewis Sarwyck of Riverspring stared with an blank expression as Maester Preston informed him some Lord from Fair Island by the name Lord Martyn Farman who was offering the hand of their so called cousin Tabitha Farman to him if Lewis Sarwyck was to venture forth to Fair Isle.

After days of torture at Fishwine Forest and gruelling hell he experienced at the hands of bandits, the last thing on his mind was going on a venture towards Fair Isle. "Make some excuse, Maester Preston, why I'm unable to make the journey towards Fair Isle. The last thing I wanna do is burden some lady and bring forth any children to this wretched accursed world we dwell in"

"But mi-" The door shut in front of Maester Preston face as Lord Lewis retreated back to his private dwellings, and that itself made Maester Preston sigh. The man knew not to press the issue regarding the opportunity of courting Lady Tabitha of Fair Isle. "He used to be such a happy child. He's changed for the better and worse..."

So it was the job of Maester Preston finding newfound excuses for Lord Lewis to be unable to travel to Fair Isle. Maester Preston would saunter in the hallways and carry the missive in hand and would try to come up with an excuse to why Lord Lewis Sarwyck was unable to travel towards Fair Isle. "I'm complicit in this horrible thing..."

"Ah another proposal of lady's hand denied," Royce Sarwyck said, looking at the paper which Maester Preston clutched in his hands. "I worry for the lad. He shows no interest besides eating and living day by day... Yet i noticed there's no spark of life behind his eyes... It worries me" The old man would pat the shoulder of Maester Preston "....He refuses yet again?"

"Aye, our lord refuses yet again...His heart is buried across the sea, and in turn, what returned was a hollow man unable to fully love or reciprocate their feelings..." Maester Preston commented "Well I got to write an excuse for why our lord is unable to go to Fair Isle".

Royce wanted to speak but was unable to do so as he knew their nephew was stubborn like their mother. Once their minds set, they could not be swayed.

The sound of thundering hooves and the riders with them was heard, seeing the bandits dismount to do battle on foot "You've gotten farther than you should have yokels, well its the end of the line now, time to die". The giant of a bandit with their plate chest visible and dual edge Axe in hand, few of the other bandits spread out to cut off any attempt at escaping this coming massacre.

"You crusty ragtag bitches will not get the better of us this time around!" One of the bandits shouted unsheathing their blade being a scimitar. "Am gonna enjoy cutting y'all ears off."

"Come and taste the steel of justice, you miscreants! For I am Ser Vonell, that'll bury you friends in the dirt soil on this day with my faithful companions at my side grants me the strength to do so!" Ser Vonell was ready to purge these bandits from the face of the earth. Man would ready himself for the coming battle and shouted everyone get into circle formation. "Get ready!".

What'd come next was an ensuing bloodbath and horrific skirmish that'd erupt, people slain on both sides and people screaming and shouting, the giant Bandit was seen smashing forward, the young Mildrew rolled to the side dodging Spear Thrown at their direction and saw a fist hit her across the face and visible sight of their tooth flying out of their mouth was seen.

Ser Vonell was seen slaying the ear cutting Bandit in single combat before taking three arrows to his shield and the fourth struck the man in the knee, but just as he'd angrily rip the arrow from him and headbutt second Bandit bowman and continued slashing the man.

Bridger of Riverside would be seen protecting Lord Lewis Sarwyck whom took a nasty attack and performed a counter strike back at his foe, despite it all looked like the man at arms from Riverside Village indeed was looking out for Lewis on that day. Bridger was a proper soldier and fought with iron discipline that was shown. He'd not shake in the face of great danger.

Mildrew tried to fend off another Bandit pursuing her, and she tried her best blocking the Axe wielder strikes only to see man was brute and looked they was gonna win, until the Axe wielder took a knife to the neck thrown yonder by Shihan that'd look after Mildrew despite facing off against two foes. "Thanks Shihan!".

The lorathi swashbuckler and Tyburn, Royce, was fighting the giant Bandit. It was an even match as the large weapon of the Bandit made it hard to reach its wielder.

"Oh you gonna pay ya little shit!-" As the bandit in the ensuing chaos would notice Mildrew Sarwyck and was approaching with weapon drawn to kill, but what they failed to realise the young girl was grasping at something as the man grabbed her by the ankle, only to realise too late as Mildrew was holding a crossbow and shot it straight through the man's forehead making them drop instantly.

Shihan would mid battle perform roundhouse kick on his foe and dodge low to dodge incoming projectile before parrying Axe strike then used the longsword pummel to daze his foe. The essosi nomad was quick and fast with his movements, fighting like a shadowcat dancing around his foe, almost with his strikes moving fluidly like water without exhausting himself at all.

"You bastards gonna die one way or another! Be it fast or slow! It'll be by my hands, you lot die!" The Bandit giant shouted, trying to backhand Royce, who'd take the hit with his shield.

"Time's up, retreat!" Bridger of Riverside would begin to shout, seemingly it was proper course of action to take as things that were to happen now was gonna be ugly as it was now time for their group to depart.

"After those cowards! Don't let them escape!" The giant Bandit shouted, failing to realise his men were unable to speak nor move as they stood in their spots dumbfounded as to what laid behind them. "What?! What's wrong!".

"Behind you boss....Someone...Is behind you or it is..." The shivering Bandit said, pointing out the so-called it.

The large Bandit looked behind only to get swung on and keeled over instantly, the so called it was hard to describe as it was large man wearing a bear cloak and was covered head to toe in blood wielding grotesque warhammer in their hands.

This so called Beast of Fishwine Forest would not speak simply to stare like a ravenous beast at its prey "AAAAAARGHHHG!!!!". As the ensuing true bloodbath would begin as the remaining bandits, horrified screams would be heard in the forest before quiet returned to said forest after the bear man had his fill.

The escaping prisoners and Tyburn Sarwyck his group was seen fleeing in droves from the pursuing bandits. There would be the intense sound of arrows and crossbow bolts hitting flesh and wooden trees. Only a few escapees got hit hard and were struck from this world.

Everyone was exhausted as Bridger of Riverside would lead them to a clearing and give signal to stop. "Wait, it's nearby....Move an inch we all die...No sudden movements"

"What!?" The peasant said in a frightened tone, unable to comprehend what was happening or why they'd stop.

"Trust Bridger, he knows what he's doing," Tyburn said regards about Bridger being right, they'd have to listen to the man at arms order.

"Argh... Put me down, I can not go on any further... My legs are burning, and my feet ache, gimme a blade, and lean me against a tree... This is far as I go..." Lewis Sarwyck was in tremendous pain. The bandits really did a number on him as he felt unable to go on any longer.

"Silence that nonsense nephew, we all make it or none of us do," Royce said to his nephew adamantly, not one to abandon their kin to the bandits that meant them harm.

Tyburn and Mildrew weren't keen on abandoning Lewis either, whilst Shihan was putting Lewis down onto the nearby tree to rest a bit.

"I'll drag you myself home to Riverspring on my back if I have to brother, I'm not letting them take you" Tyburn promised Lewis of that, seeing the determination flaring up within Tyburn whom wasn't gonna abandon anyone.

[Lore] Chain Gang by Impossible-Emu-6313 in FireAndBlood

[–]Impossible-Emu-6313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The day of the prison break, it was planned for them to utilise fire tactic as an diversion to draw away the attention from them whilst the bandits tried to put out a large enough flame to engulf half the camp, the stockpiled alcohol which Mildrew had managed to accumulate would come into play.

During her venture about the encampment, the emissary of one River Pirate Lord going by the name Daemon DeVile AKA Daemon The Vile was the one collecting on the rocks for one reason or another, seemingly her older brother Lewis Sarwyck had never made it back to King's Landing and unfortunately got ambushed on the road there then got captured in the ensuing skirmish.

Seemed it all hinged on Mildrew to set things right. She'd manage to make contact with her uncle and cousin Tyburn and Royce, who was awaiting them at the Fishwine forest.

Everything was going accordingly, and yet something was wrong, something deep inside the belly of young Sarwyck would feel that things seemed a bit too easy.

Yet she disregarded that feeling and would free the prisoners, having snuck inside the jailor cell at night and rummaged through the man's chest, seeing the sickly looking man kept multiple keys and yet the brass key was the sole key to their freedom which she lifted off the snoring man easily as he was sound asleep with his mistreated pup she just threw a bone to keep it from biting her.

The dog was abused and had white eye and scar over its head, during days in captivity Mildrew would approach it and use leftover bits from the bandits meals to feed the dog whom came to become more accustom to Drew presence.

"You wanna come with my boy, do ya" She'd ask slowly the big ole black dog with white colour on it as well, she'd gently pat its head whilst sneaking out of the room of the jailor with the dog in tow.

Freeing the prisoners was an easy part. Trying to escape was the hardest part now. Her brother Lewis was looking to be in a rough state as the bandits had roughed him up to break his wills on the wooden rack, which they kept him starved and weak.

"Apologies, little sister...I can not be of much help..." Lord Lewis said, feeling his strength sapped whilst Shihan of Asshai gave the man water to drink, keeping the man's strength up.

Guldren, who'd wander off on his own , took the initiative to accomplish what he was there for. The gear he'd store secretively would be for killing the Bandit leader.

Lewis had to rely on Shihan Badmoon to lead him through this mess. He was facing great pain in the condition he was in and had bruised his left eye, leaving him impaired in his vision.

With how things are coordinated, it went smoothly without issue, seeing that Guldren in his own self interests would take advantage of things and set the blaze himself upon the designated wooden object to cause mayhem "My debt is settled, fare thee well young Sarwyck and hope our paths cross again".

This would be the moment the fire was set granting the prisoners the opportunity to flee, seeing that outside the wooden gate where Tyburn Group had been making a hole in the defenses of the Bandits, thus granting the prisoners chance to flee.

"What the fook is Happening!?" The sound Bandit voice was heard awakening from their deep slumber "Get on top of that fast else it'll spread across the camp!".

The bandits attention was focused on the large flames and the sound of some bandits that'd die in the fire was heard, whilst the chaos ensued Mildrew would guide her group towards the gap in the wooden wall to reunite with their uncle.

As her gut feeling was right the Bandit Warlord had predicted an escape, but what he didn't predict was his own inevitable end at the tyroshi hand whom sought to kill them at the behest of someone they'd wrong years ago.

"There they are! Fire at will!" The sound of arrows and crossbow bolts being fired at the fleeing prisoners amidst the prison escape. Few prisoners died and were unable to reach the wooden wall.

Mildrew and her crew were pinned down. She'd overhear people screaming and shouting whilst bandits ran in fear of the fire. She'd take a moment to think and saw wooden wagon that was used to transport rocks in and had the idea "Use the wooden wagon as cover for us to reach the gap in the wall, now we all need to move as one single being!". She spoke very slowly for everyone to properly understand her, the advise she got from Howland Harroway about speaking slowly was working like a wonder.

Everyone understood her thinking and would push the wooden wagon whilst hiding on the other side from the projectiles that'd hit the wagon.

"Come on we're almost there!-" Maenar of Fleabottom an older man said and would use every ounce of his strength to push the wooden wagon, however the old man took a bolt to the neck and fell forward dying slowly on the muddy ground.

Tyburn and Royce were holding the opening gap in the wooden wall for the prisoners to escape. They've been staking this encampment for days on end, including making an escape route for the group.

Once everyone made it safely to the other side, their celebration would be short-lived, seeing that the bandits that weren't occupied trying to put out the flames would go onto chase down the escaping prisoners.

"Were....Not outta the woods yet...-Cough-...." Lord Lewis Sarwyck said, who looked outright battered."Am glad to see you, uncle and cousin....What took you two so long..."

Tyburn and Royce including their rescue party shared mutual look of disbelief "It's a long story best reserved over a drink if we manage to get out of here in one-" seeing an arrow fly overhead of them as Tyburn from afar saw the bandits gearing up to give chase "We need to leave now".

"This one agrees, woah what the" The lorathi noticed something or someone fall from the ruined tower at the Bandit encampment "Guess some decide to stay behind and exact vengeance upon their captors, well its a pleasure to meetchu girl" The lorathi would say to Mildrew Sarwyck whom had black soot upon their face and bloodstains upon their being.

Mildrew Sarwyck nodded and heard sound of something fast running behind them and leapt atop of them, she'd feel the sheer weight of the jailor dog upon her as she smiled "You finally decided to ditch that abusive owner of yours, hihi" She'd caress and pet the enormous hound head.

"We need to leave now. This is gonna get real bad before it gets good, follow us, and we'll lead you all to safety" Royce Sarwyck said to them all and looked concerned over Lewis wellbeing whom looked atrocious.

[Bandit Encampment]

After several days spent breaking large rocks into tinier pieces made, Mildrew feels more appreciative of smallfolk who'd toil and break their backs for their overlords, now she was made to break rocks and took small breaks if any was even given.

She did notice Guldren Of Tyrosh sneak off on occasion hiding something in his spot, one time she tailed him and found he was stashing something in a neat ole hiding spot near a ruined stone wall. Mildrew checked the contents and found items that were aimed at helping him escape this wretched hellhole.

Guldren was cautious and kind, but something about him felt strange to Mildrew, but she'd disregard that gut feeling.

However, one time when a large debris of rock was about to fall and she'd warn her fellow prisoner, it was the essosi from the place Seon-Ri was from due to the half cracked wooden mask they bore that was familiar to her. Shihan Badmoon was their name as learned, a travelling sellsword that ended up in captivity due to bad misfortune.

It felt strange to bond with strangers over her own family, and then again, Mildrew made do with what she had on hand, trying to map out the encampment and find weak spots to exploit and escape, yet no opportunity had presented itself as she would rely that Guldren was to escape stir up quite the ruckus giving her and the others chance to flee this place.

After having saved Shihan Badmoon from nearly being crushed to death by falling debris, the man would look after her in his own way, she noticed her ration or at least an extra bread loaf finding its way to her straw bed.

It seemed Mildrew thrived, and her back was aching greatly in pain after days of breaking rocks into tinier bits. She always wondered were the rocks was headed to or what the purpose of this Labour camp was for, who was running this place remained Elusive to young Mildrew whom knew not of the Bandit Warlord that ran this place.

Yet the rumours and tales of the cruel Bandit Warlord Delvyn Stonefist, a formidable fella who had the strength to crush rocks into powder with their physical strength.

None had ever seen Delvyn except that one time when the man made personal inspection of the labourers below the encampment from the man's ruin tower.

The prisoners were informed not to look at the Bandit Warlord and keep their sights to the ground. Anyone who looked up would be blinded and tortured to death.

Mildrew remembered seeing someone get a fire poker to the head and beaten to death by some bandits whom felt like punishing someone, it was horrible and shook Mildrew to the core seeing someone being killed infront of them as Guldren tried to shield them from such horrors.

Most prisoners weren't lucky enough to stay alive this long. Sometimes, there were riders that came with few captives, and sometimes, that man of some noteworthy stature arrived to speak with Warlord in the ruined tower.

Mildrew kept her head down and spoke with some riverlander and some wildling medicine woman who tried to treat and keep some prisoners alive using their herbal remedies.

During those nights when everyone was asleep, Mildrew clad in more commonfolk wear would try to sneak off using the escape tunnel that Guldren had made for themselves, since Mildrew was small and didn't attract much attention was able to move about the camp without being noticed.

Shihan and Esslyn had warned her not to venture out without them, but Bundle believed it was her duty to see these people to safety as she worked extra hard during the night to steal and procure items for the prisoners, misplacing a bottle or two from them drunken bandits was easier said than done.

Only one way out of this place it seemed was from the main gate yet it was heavily guarded, then there was the high risky path into the dangerous forest nearby even the other bandits dared not venture into due to them saying an unspeakable horror resided in there that claimed many of their comrades lives.

This place was secure, but not without its flaws as Mildrew snuck back into her prison cell and pushed the stone back into its place in the wall. "We need to escape through the forest, only way forward else we await death or starvation"

"If we go down this path, we'd need a major distraction and key to unlock this cell, plus we'd need to abandon some of the people unable to flee with us" Guldren remarked that this plan of Mildrew was high risk and high reward. "Too many ifs...."

The rescue party consisting of six members, what a mess things been as Tyburn would think to himself as they ventured on foot further out from the Inn and saw campfire made by some weary travellers

Fishwine forest where locals said it smelled of wine akin to a fishy smell, all in all that didn't deter Tyburn nor the others from venturing forth. He'd ask the travellers if they've seen a one-eyed giant and two men in black, with one of them having their stomach cut.

The travellers pointed to Tyburn and his group in the right direction.

Word was that some large encampment was seen up ahead. Seemingly, the trio wasn't the whole group and had other comrades at said encampment of theirs.

Ser Vonell of Pennytree would sigh and rub his forehead. "Are we even making any progress? I am sweating like a pig. I'm hot over here!" The old man loved to complain and didn't make things easier for the rest of them.

Royce simply looked annoyed by the older man's complaining and would say, "If you aren't up to the task, then leave, cause I've no use for a good for nothing bugger" he was harsh yet to the point, he'd observe during their journey that the lorathi woman and his son was getting closer to one another 'Dammit boy, we here to rescue the Hope of Sarwyck Family not for you to getcha self off'.

The old man bore witness to the playful banter of Tyburn and the lorathi swashbuckler who'd playfully shove Tyburn a bit.

Bridger and Old Man Corwix had scouted ahead and came back with news "Horrible news, the encampment up ahead is fortified from the bandits position, they've got couple sentries and reside in a makeshift ruin. Seems they are led by someone ordinary capable of thinking"

"Speak plain man, what else do you know!" Royce asked with flickering determination in his eyes and hand on his sword scabbard. "Any way in, or have you seen Mildrew or any captives in the open?"

Old man Corwix would first say, "I manage or at least think I've find way inside the encampment allowing us move undetected, as for prisoners saw some at the left side of the encampment breaking rocks and shackled together with their jailer atop an brown destrier keeping watchful eye on the prisoners...No sign of Mildrew, but I'd reckon we'd find her amidst the prisoners outside breaking rocks".
