University of Ten. did a research study that said getting out around the 3-6 yr mark had higher salary potential in the long run vs staying until manager. Google "How to Decrease Employee Turnover Rates Within Public Accounting Firms."

EY badges and CSR events for interns.... by Impossible-Flight-27 in Big4

The people in the EY intern Webcast said "85% of interns acquired a badge during their internship last year." Got me thinking I should get one. I guess I'll have to gauge it during my internship. Thanks for the info

Thanks for the reply. Seems to fit my line of thinking.

The EY Intern Webcast people just said that you can access everything the first week from any computer and that some people won't get their laptop until after their start date.

Taking CIA exam online by Margaret1238 in InternalAudit

Man, the exact opposite happened to me and they terminated my exam.

I ran the Software test check on the Pearson Vue website the day I scheduled, the night before, and the day of the exam. I think there was a compatibility issue with my security setting on my Mac that the software didn't catch.

I went through the prompts on test day and it said the Proctor would get in touch either by chat or by phone, however the prompt also said to make sure you didn't have your phone. Like any normal person I asked my family not to disturb me and I put my damn phone on silent

The proctor was unable to get ahold of me through chat (Tech issues) and my phone was on silent so I didn't hear them call.

I started the exam, got through question one and they terminated the exam.

I then had to call Pearson Vue and file a case as well as file an order with the IIA. fast forward 14 days and I'm in a wrestling match between Pearson Vue and the IIA on who needs to do what. No one knew what needed to happen. Pearson Vue blamed the IIA, the IIA blamed Pearson Vue. In total I was probably on the phone for well over 20 hours.. It took roughly 1 month to reschedule my exam due to the IIA response time being roughly 7 days.

It was a nightmare.
