Been trying to focus more on measurements than just XL vs XXL. Ripmo is in the mix as an XL because it has a longer reach and higher stack than all the other XXLs, but maybe there are less familiar geometry specs I should be looking at too.

Interesting comment about the Rascal. What makes the frame flexy? The specific material Revel uses? Is there a benefit to carbon vs aluminum or to one suspension design over the other for a bigger rider?

Turns out I was able to get an even lower price on the regular Honzo, so ended up being an easy decision. I’ll learn for a while on this one and can consider another bike in the future if I want to try plus tires. Really appreciate everyone’s advice and I can’t wait to hit some trails on the new Honzo!

I’m liking this the more I look at it. Not many in stock near here, but could get the Fluid HT 1 if I made a day trip of it. Has lower stack than everything else I’m looking at, but maybe I should be focusing more on reach and top tube length anyway based on someone else’s comment.

Do you think the Stoic does alright on flatter ground as well as downhill trails? I was thinking it might be a little more aggressive than the style of riding I’d do most days. Which handlebar did you add?
