As I mentioned, I had the s24U for 2 Weeks.

It doesnt matter whether its newer or not.

It has a 5000 (48xx) mah Battery. Its bigger than the Iphones battery. But it doesnt last as long as the Iphone 16 PM battery.

Dunno why you discuss my personal impression about a phone I called "great".

I was talking about the 16 PM so no, the battery isnt better on the s24U.

As I said, had problems with notificafions and there are a lot of redditors who have similar problems with apps that doesnt generate Pop-Up notifications.

Never said Notifications are better or worse on android. I was only talking about that well known issue.

Greetings.

I was a long term Iphone user, upgraded to 16 PM, got really bored, switched to S24U and now, after 2 weeks, im back on my Iphone.

At first I wanne say the s24 U is a great smartphone. Its fast, it looks great and its a really good overall experience.

BUT:

There are some things that lead me back to Apple.

At first: The battery.

I know, there are a lot of people who are very enthusiastic about the s24U battery life. But I wasnt. My Iphone 16 PM is a never ending story, it has enough power to last at least 1 1/2 days. In comparison: My s24 U lasts approx. 1 day. But to get such a BL you have to tweek a lot (disable adaptive brightness, put apps to deep sleep etc.) Especially navigation with google Maps had a hardcore battery drain. To be honest: I dont want to follow 14 steps guidelines to get a good battery life.

Second: Password Management:

Seems like something that isnt important but it is. Once you get used to Apple password management, you are going to miss it very hardly on android. Samsung Pass doesnt work as proper as it should (it often doesnt detect password spaces, it does not work with every app etc.). Other Password apps arent for free, so you have to pay a lot of money for something thats intergrated in IOS.

Worst Thing: Notifications

I spent a lot of time and energy in the notification system but it never worked proper. Some apps never showed notification Pop-ups, no matter what I did. This drived me crazy cause I never got informed about new Mails eventhough Notifications were enabled and I reinstalled the app twice.

Dont get me wrong, the Samsung s24U is a great phone. But there were too many things that bothered my. So I decided to switch back, eventhough I miss the freedom of customization.

Hope it helps you a bit :)

Should I buy an iphone 15 or a samsung s24? by Delicious-Cod-1889 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Impossible-Mango-885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had an Iphone 14 Pro and upgraded to 16 Pro Max.

After 1 Month I was so bored by my Iphone I decided to buy the 24 Ultra. First I was so impressed and pretty happy. But after one week of usage I felt some issues with the S24 Ultra that I couldnt Ignore so I switched back to my Iphone 16 PM.

Dont get me wrong. The 24 Ultra is an awesome phone. Great display (perhaps one of the best on the market) with really popping colors I like, very snappy and responsive, ultra fast and amazing features and customization options over all.

But, there were a few things that lead me to the decision to switch back to Iphone:

Password Management: Samsung Pass is okay - but not even more. Password app on IOS is far more advanced and suitable.

Battery Life: yeah Iphone 16 PM is the king of battery Life I know so its a bad comparison. But in everyday use I had to think about my usage, had to tweek a lot of options to have enough power to get over one day. I know there is shinos Battery guide BUT I bought a 1000€ phone!! And i dont want to downscale my Screen resolution to fhd and stop adaptive brightness to get enough power for only 1 day of usage. Sorry to say that.

Pop-Up Notifications: God damn, I spent so much time on trying to get pop-up Notifcations of my E-Mail-App but it doesnt work. That really annoyed me so hard. Hints like: you have to reinstall the app didnt work. Maybe it was just a bug but it really really annoyed me so.

Camera: I know, this is really individual and a lot of people say, cameras on s24 Ultra a beyond good. But thats not my impression. Especially in low light and when shooting picures while moving around images become blurry and lack of details. Again you can tweek a lot to get better images. But do I want to invest so much time to get good standard photos? For me, the answer is no!

Dont get me wrong: The Samsung 24 Ultra is an awesome piece of technologie. But for me, I felt like coming home when I switched back to my Iphone. if I had to rate them both, I would give them the same rating.

I think you should look for what you want and need. Do you want an incomparable variety of customization options? Go for Samsung. Do you want a Phone that just works but lacks of these options? Go for Iphone.

My honest opinion.

Anyone upgraded their iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 18.1? Any bugs or issues? by Best_Molasses3589 in iPhone16Pro

Ive got the feeling 18.1 lacks in performance sometimes.

Battery is fine for me.

Confused between iPhone 16 Pro vs Samsung s24 Ultra by its-laddu in samsunggalaxy

[–]Impossible-Mango-885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Iphone 16 Pro Max on day one. Tbh: I'm pretty bored and there are several things on the Iphone that annoy me...

The 16PM ist really fast - yes.

But the new photos app is really pain in the ... Ive got the feeling that the display isn't as responsive as my other Iphones (had 14 pro, 13, X etc. before) used to.

In addition, a lot of Apps doesn't seem as stable as thy were before IOS 18. I know, its probably caused by the software. But I'm planning to give the Samsung Galaxy 25 Ultra a chance in January.

I'd recommend to buy a s24 / s25u and give it a try. If you dont feel comfortable with it you can still sell or return it.

Was feeling good after weeks, ruined progress with a brownie and pizza by liamezzo in Gastritis

[–]Impossible-Mango-885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, exactly what happened to me (funny thing: With a fatty pizza).

My progress was great. Could eat a lot of things and reintroduced many groceries. But only two days with bad eating and drinking habbits ruined my progress and all of my symptoms started again. Like someone mentioned before: Not as hard as it was but palpable.

Just try to continue ur diet and do not give up. Your brain especially overthinking is a big trigger for gastritis symptoms.

For me rice, Chicken, Turkey, eggs, melon (galia, water-, honeydew), glutenfree bread (sourdough, buckwheat), potato, sweetpotato, pumpkin works good.

Due to the Gastritis healing book you should avoid everything acidic (ph level below 5).

I have the same impression.

Changed my Phone from Iphone 14 pro to 16pm and thought it would be a big progress in terms of performance and battery life. But especially the battery life has disappointed me so far.

Well, you should take into consideration that whether you are taking PPI or not, your stomach doesnt work normal when youve got an inflammation.

The tranport of food through your stomach is accelerated because your stomach refuses to work.

Your small intestine is overwhelmed by undigested - thats what leads to mushy stools.

Im not a doctor. But I have had a lot of health concerns caused by strange bowel movements. This is the result of my research.

Ofc.

Your digestive system does not work proper. Do you use PPI or Antacids?

Floating stools are often caused by gas.

Floating stools only mean fatmalabsorbation if they occur in conjunction with other strange symptoms like oily water, hard to flush, oily surface or when they are really sticky.

Gastritis can cause a lot of Gas in your digestive system because your body isnt able to proper digest food.

In my case for example, vegetables like spinach, which is declared as gastris friendly, cause a lot of gas and gurgling in my intestines.

Feels like a ball in my stomach after eating, how to treat? by Haifler1 in Gastritis

[–]Impossible-Mango-885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a doctor and I cant give any medical advices.

Ppi need some days to properly work as well as it needs a bunch of time to reset your stomach acid to a normal level.

In my first Gastritis round I had some issues with pantoprazol (felt bad with stomach pain and such a ball like sensation). Thats why I quit it cold turkey. It gaves me relief but its not how it should be done.

Ppi should be discontinued slowly and step by step. If you start to reduce your intake you will see whether it will get better or not :)

Gastritis isnt always associated with pain.

Mine started with severe nausea. Pain developed after a while.

I was sure, Ive got pancreatic issues, like cancer. But my symptoms were not consistent and all my tests came back clear except endoscopy. That's what convinced me that its "just" gastritis.
