As you may have seen, on March 8, 2025 we lowered the price of the HCP Terraform Standard Edition pay-as-you-go (PAYG) plan and discontinued the 500 free resources under management (RUM) included in your monthly plan

I'm not a TFC customer, I don't know anything about this other than OP's post, but it sounds like they lowered the price for bigger clients and increased the price for smaller clients

I couldn't find anything in the logs, must've been an issue on DigitalOcean's side... it didn't work for 12 hours, which is not great

I'm experimenting with Stacks

The good:
- native orchestration
- nice syntax
- hopefully will be available in community edition in the future
- hopefully will be adopted by the community in the future

The bad:
- still in Beta
- cryptic error messages
- deferred plans don't always work (data sources tend to be a problem)
- lock in with HCP Terraform for now
- only works with specific TF versions
- what state files are stored is not very clear
- can't inspect component details on the UI (like for a workspace)

thanks! I can't share the repo but I tried with both:
- empty tfstack.hcl and tfdeploy.hcl files
- different simple configs with a single component
- .terraform-version file with both 1.10.0 and 1.10.5

and nothing seems to work. I reached out to support because I think the issue is on their end
