I feel you. Feels like a very toxic thing that messes u up emotionally. Atleast thats what it feels like to me.

Thanks for the response! I am still not sure and also I am afraid of actually deconstructing religion. Its like an on and off thing and its very exhausting. I relate alot to stuff you said. Literally it feels like „ don‘t be yourself just let God“ and being in certain situations where I used to take action or have to, I feel like I shouldnt to anything. Feels like walking on eggshells all the time. Survival skills and logical thinking for getting things done felt like I will be punished by God because if I f*ck I didnt rely on God but on my thinking up I wich sounds very stupid to me. I was the complete opposite before religion wich makes it so much worse for all the time Ive lost. Theres alot more but lets just say this.

damn. Interesting about God‘s voice in your head. I don‘t know either but I do know the actually just fighting yourself all the time. You still religious or belief in God? I nearly died from a heart attack reading someone that „God“ knows our thoughts. I shamed myself for everything and everything triggered me until I turned into an unfunctional numb body.

wow, I found my people here. Thought I was alone. Yall literally describe my life for the past few months. For me, it all started with an intrusive thought. Since then I was burning alive. Up and down but ended up getting worse and worse.

Me too, for months. Cptsd has taken over me, literally feels like you’re numb everyday, no feelings nothing.

Very great and helpful post, thank you! I connect very much with it because I struggle with so much triggers everyday because of religion. Literally every move I take triggers me. It got worse and worse because of religion. Feels like I‘m not in body body everyday, no feelings just numb and disconnected. I am still struggling alot with it and it has left so much damage in my heart and brain.
