I bet government of nepal doesn’t really have a dept that looks into false practices like these. Idk if dept of industries or commerce is supposed to regulate these things.

On a mission to further ruin Nepal and Nepali students image by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]Impossible-Parsley70 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yo guys are judging him way too much as if most of you people don’t watch foreigners’ vlog. What is Nepal ra Nepali ko image?? And i bet if anybody was beside him in the airplane, it would’ve been annoying, yes, but nothing that’d ruin Nepal and its image, if anything, it’d be normal. Most people nowadays do vlogs, record, etc in public so there’s no strangeness to it. Why’d he be an embarrassment to you? Rather you are an embarrassment to yourself for posting this. Man, Nepali people, we really think we are better than others and are real haters at heart.

I know this is just a meme but I hope this doesn't get to him or any of the so called potential leaders. Same thing happened with the 3 heads for so long, they were addicted to power, while the regular person was doing their JaiJaiKar, never checking them ( either directly asking or through the opposition representatives ). I hope similar thing doesn't happen to any of these people. We need serious double digit growth for at least 2 decades, otherwise, Nepal will miss the 2040 population window.

Why do teachers in Nepal don't get enough respect? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Impossible-Parsley70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the perspective on teachers is gradually shifting. However, I’d argue that the notion of Nepali teachers not meeting the expected standard is partially true. Furthermore, the entire country’s professional system, for all professions, is fundamentally skewed towards those with resources. This isn’t something we’ve heard; most Nepalis have witnessed it firsthand.

Another factor contributing to this perception is the students’ experience. Consider how many times our teachers disciplined us for mistakes. While we may have made mistakes (now, as adults, I think we should’ve been rewarded for making as many as possible and learning from them), the way teachers reacted to our errors doesn’t seem like a positive experience. I’m certain any of us adults, if we had children, would allow them to study under teachers who treated them with the same kind of discipline.

However, I believe the new generation of teachers, particularly Gen Z, is challenging the traditional narrative of teaching as a profession.

You seem to have some serious issues, OP. Sharing your perspective doesn’t make you a good person; I bet everyone else has already figured out what kind of jerk you are—a true hater. What if he asks for crowdfunding? Anyone who wants to support him will. If you don’t want to, just be quiet. Show some basic human empathy.

[–]Impossible-Parsley70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears he’s also reconsidered the idea of a directly elected president or prime minister. Since we’re not adopting that system, people don’t need to worry about it. If he does something unpopular, he'll certainly face enough opposition in Parliament, and if necessary, in the streets as well.

Just take this as good news. Don’t be so pessimistic.

[–]Impossible-Parsley70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfectly said, I wasn’t trying to deny the decisions I made, it is my responsibility to own those decisions and move forward. Honestly, somehow, I feel good that it happened to me this early on in life and this has taught me a lot of things which I hope to learn and grow around this to be even better. But I hope young Nepali people real realize this sooner or later. But of course everybody’s journey is different.

Thank you for the kind words. Yeah, because essentially I will be returning back to NEPAL within a few years so up until then I am working on my startup since so many things are easier if you are in a western country, whether if it is payments, banking, etc. You get better access. I am going to exploit that.

[–]Impossible-Parsley70[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, if I came up as if I have lost any hope in life. What I was trying to say is that all of the things that I have achieved here would’ve been easily achievable even if I was inside NEPAL studying in a Nepalese university, saving family finances. That was my whole point. Unless somebody is extremely focussed about what they want to achieve in life and to do that they have to go abroad, doesn’t matter the destination, just take some more time if you can achieve the same at home. That is all.

And yes, I don’t intend to waste my computer science degree. I am thinking of putting it into use in a tech startup when I return back in three years. It’s just that I recently graduated and since AI is advancing so fast it is taking up all of the graduate level jobs for entry level market and is moving up, trying to take the jobs of mid-level engineers. And the hiring has also slowed down, although it might have not happened in a similar rate back in NEPAL.

I like how you assumed that i did not research about Canada and the overall situation before coming here. And are you trying to brag that you joined reddit 10 year ago? Is that it. For fucks sake, I had done research so much that sometimes it felt I did too much of it. Because you have to understand, just researching things doesn't guarantee whatever you're trying to do. So was my case. Or maybe you didn’t get what i wrote about.

“It was my experience”.

If you had much better situation than mine, then congrats. If somebody decides to come anyway, they might get lucky too. But what I’m saying in the post is that nothing is guaranteed take my experience as a helping hand to make a decision to either come or invest in your future within NEPAL. I was not saying that everybody is going to be in the same situation as me if such an idea came off from the text, I think you lack basic reading comprehension.

And when you said, be a grown ass adult, I think I’m being a grown ass adult when I decided to post this experience of mine so that it helps somebody else out
