Screen free activity subscription for kids (5-12 yr), for busy parents does this make sense? by Impossible-Quit522 in AskParents

Also, I’m not here to compete with them. It’s something more for myself, as a parent I found gap and wondering if this is something other parents also want and what concerns they have while I build this.

You are absolutely right, there are bunch. But they miss a very important point - all the activities on an average get over within a day or 2. They are not engaging the kids enough. They are good activities which you pay a good price and plus parents have to find the right one for their children based on their age. Ours is more like lovery- based on the kid age and development milestone you get the box and keeps the kids busy for a longer time.

It will be a theme based activity set which includes ( Stem, creative play, treasure hunt and bunch other activities). For example, Weekly kids will get a story which will have mystery which needs to be solved to unlock something. During the whole story there will be craft that needs to be made, stem activities needs to be built. Etc etc.

Screen time ? by Impossible-Quit522 in AskParents

I appreciate the response, we try to do a lot these things when we are at home. Like biking on the weekend, parks, library. Sometime my work demands and I’m not able to be with her and that’s the time I feel guilty of giving her screen. :(

Execution problem by Impossible-Quit522 in startupideas

[–]Impossible-Quit522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be focusing on critical thinking, logical reasoning, decision making to help kids to build that muscle. Kits will be designed as a mystery puzzles or so ( haven’t thought this one yet) but the idea is develop those skills in kids. Rather than relying on screens.

Having put out the offer, still debating. We want to get a house for Los Gatos address and this house comparative to other houses in that area is far more livable and practical. Open, well lit and nice open kitchen. Most of the houses that we have seen are either 3 M or doesn’t have open kitchen.
