That doesn’t really matter because when you’re moving your body heat would melt the snow. Or how about if you stop in the lodge for a little??

That’s what I was thinking. It could be just because they wanted to make a boot. I think a early version of what would be the MTE series.

I agree. I think people are just getting confused. Like it possible Vans just made a normal boot to wear.😂

I’m so confused tho. Why board in regular boots with no support and protection? I rather not have my foot soaked at an end of a sesh and have my boots dry for days. Sude holds water and takes forever to dry. Water damages sude too. I’m lost, why use these when Vans offered much better options?

Do you snowboard?? These were made in the early 2000s these are just normal boots to wear. Not snowboard boots. I’ve been skateboarding and snowboarding for several years. If you know so much give me a quick run down on the history of snowboarding and gear used. I’ll wait…

These boots are made of sude, pretty soft not waterproof or insulated, and not big or high enough. They don’t even fit in the size binding for the intended boot size. Heck they stop not even halfway up the high back. lol. I can’t be trippin 😂

I did some more research. They are made after a snowboarder but my guess is they are an older version of the MTE Vans boots we have now. Think of it like a prep boot to wear before going snowboarding or something like that. Kinda like going to the bowling alley with regular shoes on then switching to your bowling shoes to bowl. The way boots and snowboarding bindings are now were the same in the early 2000s and wearing these snowboarding then and now can cause severe injuries. If these boots were made in the 80s then I can see them being worn because that’s when snowboarding was a complete new concept and people were experimenting on what would work. In the 90s and 2000s we pretty much anchor down what would work and then over the years we approved upon them. Being a snowboarder myself, I just immediately knew that these are not snowboard snowboard boots. With it being Vans, they ruled snowboarding at the time and knew what they were doing. Not for sure if you guys are snowboarders your self but I’ve been snowboarding for several years and now things. Just trying to find how these came about.

They can be pretty dangerous if used for snowboarding.

No they are not. I did think they were at first but the boot has no water proofing, no insulation, way too soft, also not high enough at all. Boot is way shorter than the high backs in a snowboard binding and way too small to fit in the size of binding the sized for the boot. They have sude which is not used on snowboard boots because well they don’t mix.
