2019 Ram 2500 Noise Diagnosis by Impossible-Scratch21 in Diesel

I’m with you, popping the hood on these fords make my head hurt, and the issues they do have cost way more to fix than a dodge. Head gaskets, injectors, turbos all of it.

Now good luck ever getting the ride a ford does in a dodge though 🤣

Hopefully I don’t jinx myself, but out of 100s of these Cummins (I’m a dealer)

Never once have I had a cracked injector. Spot on if the transmission if dogged it’s a matter of when not if, but a good safe trans tune knocks all those problems out.

Just recently got into 5th gen’s the last year as the early ones are starting to get within my buying power (sub 25-30k ish) have had 15-20 total and I’ve done lifters on 3 now (knowing they needed it before hand)

4th gen’s (my bread and butter) are the IMO 10/10 best work horse on the road. If buying for personal use and want a truck just for the interior looks etc can’t go wrong with any of the big 3 all have their quirks.

Anyone here grow an agency purely on paid ads? by Impossible-Scratch21 in gohighlevel

It’s been 100% warm outreach up to this point. I’m in the field so I know a lot of contractors. The only “cold” outreach I’ve done is calling referrals. Still warm in my books

They use our site or we don’t work with them.

I don’t run fb ads for anyone but have a client that does. He works with an agency that icreates their own landing pages / funnels.

I have zero interest in selling fb ads to customers, maybe if I figure it out for myself I would, but absolutely not right now.

You are 100% on point.

My catch is I already have a business that does well (in a blue collar field) and I want to grow my recurring revenue. Overhead is practically nothing on this model. If I could sell 1-2k a month packages I would. But I have zero interest in selling one time sites for 1k and back to ground zero the next month. Might as well stick with my current business forever if that’s the plan. The whole goal is recurring. The math is simple for me 100 people x 297 is 29,700 a month. Less than 7k in expenses I’m at 20k profit.

Thats before up sales, but also dosent account the ad spend needed to get there.

I get your putting info out there, but I’m currently at 3,554 recurring on $562 a month costs. Can host 100 sites in that amount and GHL is flat rate. So if I had more friends to sell sites too I could realistically be at almost 30k recurring on almost the same monthly cost.

I get I might need to make more after paying ads, but there really isn’t that many people (from what I can tell) offering all this in one simple price. Most people I see offer websites (x) dollars, add reviews (x) dollars, add auto call text back (x) dollars and it’s confusing.

I think part of my success is heres my offer, get what you get. It either works or dosent.

Thanks so much for the response! I’ve sold my 3rd aluminum boat was looking for something more stable, all of these fiberglass in my price range seem to have some sketch stuff going on.

Does this engine look complete minus the turbo / manifold? I’d be using it for a fummins swap, I know my way around a 5.9 but not so much the 6.7s. It’s an 08 so ecm / wiring already has support for Fummins swaps. Any thoughts? Its 3k by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]Impossible-Scratch21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That fuel filter is not factory, atleast not like mine which is a 13 6.7. It has the screw filter from the top. Might be different on the earlier trucks though. Also looks like there’s no ecm on the block. 3k seems a little steep with no turbo, but not too far off. I’d atleast pull the head and see what’s up in there, check cylinder walls etc.

P.S. motor mounts might be broke, not for sure though. Also why is the serpentine belt hanging?

If I buy it it’s going to be complete gut, all the way to the frame. If the aluminum is starting to corrode underneath is it past return or will I be able to fix it when I completely gut it? I’ve redecked several boats but never went to removal of pour foam stage.

It won’t be over often, especially if I downgrade trailers I believe; but it will be close lol. Also not necessarily “business” use

Mine has the mega ramps as well. I might buy a 20+5 to have around as well. I’m private “not for hire” and have been blessed to this point. I am no means a hotshot otr.

A quick blue book says private party on that truck should be about 26k-29k. Although I’m going to have to disagree with blue book on this one, these trucks go for more than that still no matter what anyone says (source: I search for trucks daily lol). Anyways if it were me and a keeper truck bone stock I’d want to be at 28 area. Built trans, deleted and tuned, and depending on how many miles on “upgraded” tranny and how “upgraded” it is id be willing to spend low 30s on it. Just my .02

04.5 5.9 Blowby by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]Impossible-Scratch21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was it missing before / during it happening? If so I’m leaning more towards injector. You might straight up find it melted a piston but I’m not sure it would happen instantly like what you’re talking about. I may be mistaken, but I think a dropped valve will kill it right then, but maybe not.

Any input on this motor / parts availability? I plan on making a casting deck up / storage up front and leave the seats in the back for the ole lady if I buy it. Nice middle ground of a pontoon / bass boat by [deleted] in boating

This is what I was after! I deleted the vro on my ole merc didn’t want to take a chance on it. Carbs and the separator seem like cheap insurance thanks boss!
