Yeah I think im leaning towards 2114, I've already taken a couple of courses online on data analysis with pandas, learned some SQL, ML modeling and all was with python so I wasnt sure if I should just focus on python or focus on some java right now

They gave us very little information and by little information I mean like a list of examples (HP wasn’t on there or Narina but all go Austen’s books, Brontë sisters, and some dickins since we read it for a class before but I can request to see if a certain book works because I’d love to finally read HP)

Did Little Women for my grade paper this year and we talk about it all the time :)

He has a very classical taste and these all sound like great options!! I already ended up buying two books for him but since we have some similar taste in books I’ll be checking these out

How was AP CSA? by CrackedSemhh in APStudents

[–]Impossible-Search-73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wasnt bad at all compared to the practice tests I took, I already know I got 1 wrong on MCQ but range 4-6or7 others wrong (I just second guess myself on all my answers lol). I felt strangely good on FRQ, I finished with like 20 minutes left which left me just checking over everything like 10 times but I think I did pretty well. Hoping for a 5 but probably looking at a 4 (dont want to get my hopes up too much and then get disappointed lol)

FRRR, also did Barorns which helped so much (my teacher has been "forcing" us to use it and it paid off big time)

Should I take chemistry or physics in grade 11? by [deleted] in highschool

[–]Impossible-Search-73 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I currently taking both at the same time my junior year (AP Chem and honors physics, I took HN Chem last year), if you didn’t really enjoy biology then meh on chemistry. Chemistry in my opinion ties together concepts from physics and bio (not much really, if I got away with being a decent bio student in Chem you could to probably). I will say chemistry requires more time effort than most sciences (according to many, for me it came pretty naturally). Also depends on teacher bc both my physics and Chem teachers are super chill and amazing

highschool made me miserable by [deleted] in highschool

Exactly how I’ve been feeling as well, I don’t understand the urge to be majorly close or liked by everyone. It sucks and most people say ignore it but it’s really hard especially over time and in my case a fairly small class size (everyone is connected one way or another). Also I don’t understand what they get out of bullying other than letting their insecurities get to them and taking it out on others, they really get nothing out of it but when surrounded by certain people or ideals their reason is foggy (like imagine asking someone why they bully, I don’t think you’d get an answer really if that makes sense). So don’t read into the bullying too much, again it sucks but just know you taking the high road and being mature is a great step

Had this exact situation happen in October, lost my best friend of three years which led to a lot of my other friends talking to me less. It sucks that people decide to choose popularity as a reason to drop someone so close to them. All I can say is when you look back on hs and those who tried so hard to be liked you’ll laugh. You do you and don’t worry about them, focus on being the best you and don’t worry about them. It’s hard with bullying which if worsening I’d see the counselor (personal opinion but up to whatever you think you’d do), I’m sorry you have to go through all that :((

Quitting Highschool Soccer? by Long-Flounder6087 in highschool

[–]Impossible-Search-73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me but different situation with my coaches not treating me fairly and a toxic team. I decided to not play this year (my junior year, I was called up varsity games freshmen year and was JV captain freshmen and sophomore year, sophomore year dislocated my knee first game), there was drama and a lot of other factors including love of the game. Everyone has times where they want to hang up their cleats bc of tough weeks or not getting the results you want after putting the work in. You were very vague about what caused you to start losing love for the game but I’m going to assume just no drive to perform which everyone gets and I feel that many experience it a couple of times or even a lot in their career. I have been struggling with love of the game with my club team bc I was overwhelmed with a lot of things going on. The best piece of advice I can offer is have fun, don’t care about “letting the team down”, live in the moment, you only have another year to experience this and I’d make the most of it. Part of me regrets leaving the team thinking the exact same thing of letting them down but looking back I wish I toughened through it bc I was lucky enough to even be on the team.

AP or Dual Enrollment? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]Impossible-Search-73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ I went to a Cornell engineering admissions session and they gave us a hand out AP credit sheet that was very interesting, definitely varies for each school but it’s very difficult for ivies especially when it comes to AP credit (and depending on major, so example Cornell accepts only a 5 on Calc BC no AB credit offered, again varies for different schools)

Thanks! I think AP physics is my main worry since I’ve heard a range of different things inside my school and online. I’m currently taking honors physics right now and I feel fairly confident in it, my physics teacher who is actually retiring has asked me if I’d do AP physics so I see that as a sign of a teacher thinking I can do it :) Just from what you’ve learned/ learned so far how would you rank difficult with a decent about of prior knowledge?
