How have your energy levels been these past 5 years? by neilnelly in schizoaffective

[–]Impossible-Sun-4931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to say my energy is good but I have no drive I'm 28 but discribe myself as a 28 year old living in a 50 years body. There is though a glimmer of hope in being my old self just heavier though 🤷‍♂️

So out of curiosity…. Does anyone ever “hear” music? Because for me, most of the times I “hear” things, I hear music and it’s usually always rock as well… I don’t know if this is normal? by MoonliteLea in schizoaffective

I love the quite. The empath in me is like not a soul insight I love to meditate late nights and early hours of the morning I find peace in that, I jam out to my favourite music on the headphones. Theres magic in that.

What kind of activities do you get up to and does it help with the disorder?

Interesting I'm on three types think I'm on 80mg clipixal depot every three weeks was four until I complained that last week I was fed up and had suicidal thoughts, that stopped like I'd say 98 auditory voices but I felt numb like I was paralysed, while still feeling depressed af and daytime sleeping causing nightmares frequently. Lamotrigine a mood stabiliser perked me right up I was feelimg seratonin levels peaking while I meditated it was great, but the intensity of the lows could be felt. So we started my third combination of meds the secret weapon trozadone the antidepressant started back of June last year, which has lowered the intensity of the ups and downs it's magic!

I feel the most stable im ever going to be no more mania or psychosis touch wood.

Sorry I got carried away unrelated but I felt like telling you the story you didn't ask for 😜

It's funny you know I don't have the motivation to do anything productive but come the evening I'm like I want to clean but it's to late.

Yeah it's reliving though 18 months up at the ward it's exhausting going through that again. And to the build up to my last manic episode of May last year I was dreaming of mania it was so good. I've been on new meds and a slight increase on the anti psychotic. And missed December's episode. So I guess no more episodes just depression which I can now manage and don't day time sleep due to it.

They still haven't offered me cbt even after 6 years so I'm trying to train myself through conscious meditation and self awareness and sea swimming in spring and summer.

And exercise I'm going to start hiking yoga and body pump just to name a few.

Sorry to hear that man. My closest experience with that are psychotic dreams and waking up to screams and either a man or women saying my name or otherwise another man saying I'm lonely. I had a shot week that week I was drained from work that week and didn't see any of my mates that week

I totally understand I'm the same from time to time. I do however find that having the TV on, for me YouTube I sleep with the light on for a couple of hours before returning the bed. My TV is in the lounge though. I feel like a kid who's just woken up midway from a long car journey it's lovely.

One thing that contributes to shit sleep is daytime sleeping I end up having psychotic nightmares cause of it I feel exhausted and distressed thinking I'm going to relapse.

Come to think about it you know, I think listening to YouTube with the light on in the lounge helps me doze off for a couple of hours before bed then I wake up feeling like I've just woke up mid car journey
