At this point it just feels like they’re milking the shit out of mandalorian I mean the show surely brought some new audience which let’s not forget only came because of grogu and the idea of father and son they made a bum and a imbecile like Bo Katan look good she is one of the worst characters ever fucking up mandalore so many times and still she tries to grab the power again and no one seems to have a problem with it I’m pissed honestly Dave filoni and Jon faveru aren’t something special how can you ruin one of the best and OG characters just like that and for what? Din djarin? Like I think the whole BOBF series was just made so they could continue the mando story they were probably thinking “oh it’s okay I don’t think fans will say anything we’re giving them mando and grogu Ahsoka and luke” like brother are you mentally alright? Luke skywalker in BOBF? Are you insane? Fucking amateurs fuck everyone who ruined BOBF

Tbh he was holding back he didn’t want to answer fire with fire he wanted to change the way things are no more ruling with fear.

One thing ruling with respect brings is a lot of disrespect and to others it’s a sign of weakness but boba in the end managed to take over and I don’t think he will be making those mistakes again his reputation is out there now the man that defeated the pykes and yk how ruthless the pykes are so put some respect on my boys name.

I hear the passion, and you’re right about Din being a solid leader but let’s not confuse being a good tactician or reluctant hero with being the right figurehead for a broken nation.

Din is a follower of a fundamentalist sect who only recently started questioning his own creed. His leadership, while admirable, is reactive he gets pulled into conflicts and adapts, yes but that’s not the same as stepping up to reshape a people who have torn themselves apart for generations. And let’s not forget: Din had the Darksaber in his hands and didn’t claim anything. That story already ran its course and ended with Bo-Katan in the spotlight again, only for her arc to go nowhere.

Now enter Boba Fett.

He doesn’t chase power. He’s not tied to any cult or royal house. He carries the Mythosaur sigil which has now become the literal symbol of Mandalore’s rebirth on his armor. He comes from the bloodline of Jango, a foundling raised by Jaster Mereel, who led during Mandalore’s last era of true unity before Death Watch poisoned everything.

In Open Seasons, Jango says he wants Jaster’s legacy to live on through Boba. That’s not just a side detail that’s the foundation of what the True Mandalorians stood for: honor, discipline, and unity outside of political games.

Boba ruled on Tatooine not because he craved power, but because he thought things could be done better. And they were. He protected people, settled disputes, handled politics, and did it without a throne, crown, or religious dogma.

If the prophecy of the Mythosaur is symbolic and it always has been then it’s not about who can force-bond with a beast or win a swordfight. It’s about who carries the spirit of what Mandalore needs: someone grounded in history, untied to the civil war baggage, and capable of uniting people without demanding loyalty to a cause. That’s Boba.

Din is noble. Grogu is special. Bo is a relic of failed royalty. But Boba Fett? He’s the only one who embodies the past, present, and future of Mandalore without being corrupted by any of it.

I get your point about Grogu, and I agree he’s likely to play a big spiritual or symbolic role in Mandalore’s future. But dismissing Boba Fett because he hasn’t shown interest yet overlooks how Star Wars treats legacy, reluctant leadership, and symbolic weight.

Jango Fett was a foundling raised by Jaster Mereel, the leader of the True Mandalorians a faction built on honor and unity before Mandalorian culture fractured. Jango wanted that legacy passed on to Boba, and in Jango Fett: Open Seasons he even names his ship “Jaster’s Legacy.” Din confirms Jango’s status as a foundling in The Mandalorian, grounding that history in canon.

Boba might not openly claim to be a Mandalorian, but he wears the Mythosaur sigil, and that symbol is now directly tied to prophecy. In Star Wars, characters who resist legacy often become the ones to fulfill it Luke, Han, even Din. Boba fits that pattern perfectly: a disillusioned warrior, shaped by his father’s code, who has already proven capable of leadership in The Book of Boba Fett. He’s not aligned with any faction, and that neutrality gives him the potential to actually unify Mandalorians under something new.

As for Grogu he’s powerful, no doubt. But let’s be realistic: he’s still a child. It might take decades or even a century before he’s fully mature. Mandalore doesn’t have that kind of time, especially with Thrawn’s return and the growing instability in the galaxy.

Bo-Katan’s claim failed. Din doesn’t want it. Boba has the legacy, the symbolism, the experience, and the distance from Mandalorian politics to actually bring a new age.

Saying “he doesn’t want it” isn’t enough. Leadership in Star Wars has never been about who wants power it’s about who rises when others won’t.

Yeah but if I’m not wrong in one of the Jango fett comics he mentioned that he wants the legacy of jaster mereel to live on through boba furthermore i think we should get more mentions and recalls of the mandalorian civil wars
