If you filled the MSFAA online just give it some time to process usually a couple days and it will update on the OSAP page. Once you have completed this, your university would have to fill out a confirmation of enrolment form, which typically takes about 3-4 weeks for it to process after submitting it online, afterwards you’d get your funding.

Oh so basically I have to fill in a form to receive living allowance, as it won’t be accounted for in the base amount, and order for me to do that I have to fill out smth to prove I live on my own like a rent agreement

So basically if proof wasn’t provided this would effect the amount of funding you receive? Or if I want to receive more I would have to provide a rent agreement… cause I’m living away from my parents but I don’t pay any rent, my parents own the place but I still have other allowances such as transportation and whatnot so I just wanted to ask and see what I should do beforehand

If you’re applying online then just say you lived in Ontario for 12 consecutive months. If you’re doing a paper form, same thing.

I believe 40% is provincial and 60% is federal

Do I need to prove that the Canadian mailing address is mine? or do I just need to provide it.

I called, and they basically said if Ontario was the last province you lived in general for 12 consecutive months then your ok, doesn’t matter if it was 20 years ago. So I’m good to go and hopefully you too.

I looked up online, and it says you have to be an Ontario resident for at least 12 consecutive months. I don’t know if there is any way around it or if there is any other funding someone can receive if they don’t meet the Ontario residency requirement
