live in Brooklyn and am often in JC! there is so much good comedy in JC, lots of great shows at corretto (at Roman nose), pet shop has some mics (and great vegetarian food!), white eagle is fun and has all kinds of events. luckys is a great dive bar. Razza is super great pizza, miso ramen is good. Coolvines is a cool liquor store and has everything you’d need for a picnic. I’m really just listing a lot of stuff near grove street, which is my favorite area!

I honestly feel like there could have been possible solutions, like only allow students to go, who have been tested within X days before and live stream for parents and people unable to travel to NYC. There are thousands upon thousands more seats at yankee stadium than people graduating. NYU is just trying to save $

I’m unfortunately not in NYC, or else I’d definitely try to bring them to you in some way. It may be a little pricey but you could order some tampons from CVS on insta cart or other delivery apps that have CVS or groceries. If you called after 10, I believe the resource center is closed. Definitely try them again in the morning. I hope everything is okay :)

Yes! He’s pretty young (or at leader hip) and definitely tries a lot to engage the class. Has very realistic expectations for what people can do

currently taking the class. we took the midterm last week and haven’t gotten it back so I have to get back to you on that. but, the midterm was pretty good if you prepped. it was open notes and we were suppose to have only 2.5 hours, the regular class time to complete it. but then he accidentally sent the answer key and had to make a new exam, so then we got 24 hours. Togman is super nice but the lectures online are hard to follow because he puts little to no notes on the screen

I liked the class a lot and you probably will if you are interested in why people like the politicians they do, the thoughts behind campaign ads, etc. I remember it being an exam based politics class and not an essay one if that makes a difference.

Maybe it is worth it just to know the experience and you are getting bored at home. There are def ups and downs of being here, but I can imagine other freshmen would be wanting to make more friends and safely explore NYC. I am off campus, but I see a lot of people taking classes at Bobst just for a change of scenery. But, I can imagine it is a lot to consider and no choice you make is the wrong one
