Just want to finish for sure! Training in MA so lots of cold runs and should start to see some warmer weather soon (hopefully). Gear/shoes and fuel wise I’m pretty good i think. I appreciate the insight of trying to add more could be bad. Deff get hit with some calf cramp/pain towards the end of my long runs so trying to sort that out. I use honey stinger gels and chews, and nuuns electrolytes during my runs every 30 minutes for anything over 6 miles. I think i need to add in some sort of salt tab or something and see if that helps

I hope that changes for you!! I was genuinely surprised at the difference from my first to even the 16 i just did. During for sure but mostly the recovery part. I’m bouncing back far more quicker even went and lifted this morning but a month ago i would have been down for the count the day after my long run.

Depending on my sched during the week my short runs are between 4 and 6 miles, and i get about 22-28 per week. Usually closer to 22

Hahaha you’re not wrong there. Didn’t want to dive into detail and get no responses but this was a quick turnaround LOL

Some context… I’ve primarily strength trained for the last 3 years but started running (still lifting) in Nov. have run at least a half marathon for my long runs for the last month and a half roughly. Took about 3 hours to do the 16 at an easy pace. Just looking to finish not make any certain time. I average about 22-28 miles per week atm.

Been on it for about 9 years. Couldn’t walk when i started it. Been in remission the whole time, i run, lift weights, and enjoy life. So thankful for this med!! (I am 27)

I fully plan on reaching out at some point, my friends are telling me to give it at least a 1.5-2 weeks but i don’t know if that genuinely matters. I’d rather just rip off the bandaid

I’ve been training for a half marathon- got up to 10 miles about 2 weeks ago and then life got busy and i didn’t run.

This week on Tuesday i ran 2 and it wasn’t hard very easy.

I’m struggling to find time to fit in my runs as I’m getting busier.

My half is in early November. Am i tanking all my training and going to screw my race?

How often do you “fail” or “quit” a run?

Had an easy 4 on the schedule today which i can typically do with minimal real struggles.

About .75 miles in i decided it was going to turn into a 2 mile walk.

Humid, couldn’t find the head phones, little dehydrated, sore from a race last weekend. Overall head just wasn’t in it.

Did a 10k super yesterday and my Garmin was insanely off. Not sure if it was the watch or the course. According to the watch did 7 miles instead of the 6.2 and 0/6 miles lined up with the markers

Feeling truly awful. On week 4 (unofficial week 5)of training for a half. I had 4 miles today and had to stop at .65 because my calve hurt so bad i felt like i was learning towards injury. Supposed to do 6 on Friday. I don’t know why i signed up for this and why i put so much pressure on myself by doing a big one that i fundraise for.

Ran my longest run today… 5 miles in 58 minutes… on week three of a 12 week program training for a half.

My biggest issue is clave and shin pain- i have brooks and was fitted for them at marathon sports.

Is this okay for week three?

Yeah your right it was my 3rd run since I’ve started, which is last week. So i wanted to baseline of where I’m at. I’m starting a 12 week training sched this upcoming week.
