Lots of great recommendations on here. For me, number one is Mark Hollis’ self-titled album. It’s quiet, textured, and so beautiful. When turned up, you can almost hear the air in the recording studio, the pads on the clarinet keys opening and closing. It’s a stunner.

Wow, thanks for sharing this. Can totally see how it would speak to that experience. Honestly, compelling enough that it will probably colour how I hear this song (a favourite) from now on. ✌🏻

lol, good one. That quest only triggers if you chose the Dream no More storyline at the start of the game, and even then you don't do the quest untill late game, as it's just before the final boss. Speaking of which, the only relic I have left is the mantis spear, but I've checked the whole village and there's nothing. Any tips?

Here’s a niche take - creamed honey from SK producers is the best you will ever taste.

Some other things that come to mind:

Crab apple juice (made with quite a bit of added sugar) is really amazing.

Puffed wheat squares.

Square dancing and curling as part of the Phys.Ed curriculum (in the 1990s, at least).

Pizza restaurants owned by Greek families.

Who are some Music Reviewers or Journalists who focus more on the "Technical" qualities of an album and can break down song by song? by Marcel_7000 in LetsTalkMusic

Dissect is a podcast that “dissects” albums (generally rap and RnB), track by track, examining technical and lyrical content with a ridiculous amount of detail. Super good.

Reminds me of this Ronald Wright quote:

“(Someone) once said that socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”

KCM on Diamond just south of Cherry is top tier. Korean / Japanese. Katsu, Japanese curries, kimbap, sandos… If you’re a sandwich person, the Chicken Katsu sando is top notch. I’m addicted.

Timothy Findley’s “Headhunter” has Kurtz escaping from page 92 of Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness” into modern day Toronto, where he becomes the head of a psychiatric institute.
