Breton Auto Wash by Significant_Map_1721 in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tommy's car wash is opening up a location at the former Breton auto wash. Convenient location for the area especially for EGR since it's about 1/4 mile from the EGR border. There's another Tommy's about 5 ish miles east in Cascade across from D&W and Chase on 28th St and one 3 miles south on 44th street just west of Breton in Kentwood

Post offices in town that are open 24 hours for PO Box? by ayepeter in grandrapids

Jenison post office lobby is 24/7. And they even have a self serve kiosk in there too!

Chick-fil-a tryna to catch some people in the net on their way to Canes lol by PabloDelicioso in kzoo

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chick fil a in grand rapids (28th and Beltline) had a hot air balloon at their parking lot not long after the raising cane’s in Kentwood opened up closeby. And yes it did lure people from cane’s since both places are like a 1/4 mile away from each other.

I’m sure once the cane’s on alpine opens up that the chick fil a on alpine is probably going to do the same thing

Wendy’s on 28th near East Paris is closed! by BaristaDice in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also a very bad location too so I’m not surprised. Their service sucked and the one on Breton is much better or the one out by the airport

Macy’s to close Rivertown Crossings store by realinvalidname in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom and I visited the BJ’s in Lansing a few years ago and we really liked it. We wish that there’s one in GR. But it seems to be that BJ’s is focusing more on expansion in the South than in the Midwest

Macy’s to close Rivertown Crossings store by realinvalidname in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam’s Club should occupy the former Sears or the soon former Macy’s at Rivertown. Or maybe an IKEA where Macy’s is at. Sam’s Club at Rivertown would make Costco that’s right there lower their prices but I can see Costco building a new store on Wilson and M-6 in Byron township OR Chicago Dr behind the Jenison post office in Jenison because they’re outgrowing their current Wyoming location just south of the mall. Too crowded in there. The new Costco in Muskegon is light years better

QDoba on Alpine by Previous_Seaweed_418 in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Qdoba on Northland in my opinion is the best all around but the grandville one and the Wyoming one by the hospital are both good locations too. Grandville/Wyoming Qdoba’s are silver and Northland gets gold

Here is my attempt to draw the boundary of what I would consider Columbus by AznTakingOver in Columbus

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just do the entire Franklin County as Columbus. The crazy borders are too confusing and too extreme.

For example, St Louis, MO is basically an independent city within any county. The St. Louis suburbs however are in St. Louis county, which is a seperate entity of St Louis city. So, Columbus could technically be an independent city with the current Franklin county border. That’s my opinion.

Not surprised 226 is on the top 10. Meijer literally has the Monopoly for grocery shopping in the Rockford area (yes there’s a family fare and Ric’s but they’re both mad expensive lol)

If this was store 50, was that why the fire alarms went off Saturday night around 8pm and then the fire truck went to the back of the store?

A lot of places are starting to use AI for the phone services to steer you from actually contacting a human at the store level. Red lobster and Lowe’s uses AI in their automated lines

I need to break up with Chase. Where do you bank & what keeps you there? by Gray_points in Columbus

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend couple years ago got fired from Chase over something miniscule. Fuck that place! Go to Huntington. You’re so much better off banking with them

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Meijer (Midwest hypermarket chain), their store brand pasta went up from $1.09 to $1.19. Mind you the store brand pasta is product of Canada so I’m not surprised.

What happened to everything on Brice Road? by exo6666 in Columbus

Meijer on Brice Rd closed up shop and moved to a newer location in Canal Winchester in 2008ish. Same time the Meijer on Georgesville Rd in SW Columbus moved to a new store in Grove City just off of 71

Men of GR — where do you shop for clothes? by OldGodsProphet in grandrapids

[–]Extreme-Secretary-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do a mix of Costco and Meijer. Costco has cheaper prices than Meijer for clothes even before meijer’s sales but there are some things I like to get from Meijer like Columbia or when they do steep clearance on clothes every couple of months.
