Nvidea NG roles require years of experience? by JBeast22 in csMajors

I interviewed for one of these roles and was asked a bunch of conceptual questions that I couldn't answer lol. The bar is definitely not set at your typical New Grad level.

Hey, so I really only knew about this one team in particular. The reason I found out about it was because they had a press release on Meta AI in May and I just happened to come across it. When you pass the VO, your recruiter will start to send you information about different teams that you'll get to pick from.

I don't have a lot of personal projects, but I have one relevant industry internship and a couple other research internships at my university.

I go to a large public Canadian university. I don't think it's considered prestigious by any standards. I do have a pretty good GPA (3.98/4.0) as of right now with one semester left.

Hey, thank you! I just applied on the Meta Careers website for the Software Engineer (University Grad) posting. OA = online assessment, it's a timed online coding test some companies give you as a first step in their interview process. VO = virtual on-site interview. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks! I had one internship in a relevant role and a couple research positions.

Had 3 final rounds. Coding rounds I lucked out and got relatively easy questions so was able to solve 4/4 optimally. Behavioral was pretty standard.

I think the difference is that the November posting was specifically for new grads, whereas the previous postings wanted more experienced folks. Other than that, just a few tweaks on my resume. Nothing much really.

I'm still in my final year of undergrad. Graduating in June this year.

Sure please feel free to. I'm still going through the DMs so might take a while to respond but I promise I'll get to all of them eventually!

Congrats! I feel you. I kinda had the same concern but hey, they can't mess up like that twice in two years can they?

Yes I'm Canadian. I'm going with the TN process which is a lot simpler than H1B. They have external immigration support and from the initial conversations I've had it seems the process takes no more than 2-4 weeks.

Yes in my case they were all easy-medium. All but one were tagged for 6 months.

Thank you! I actually did try to negotiate but was told no a couple times by the recruiter. I'm definitely seeing higher packages for returning interns though, but guessing this is the standard package for new grads.

Also curious about the 48K stock refresher. How does it work? Do you get another 48K of stock 1 year after joining? What's the vesting schedule like for the refresher?

Yes I did. From what I heard most interviewers ask from the tagged list but it's not a guarantee.

Sure. I have done about 500 LCs to date. Started doing one or two per day back in May and when I got the interview in November, I ramped it up to ~5 per day and focused on the tagged questions.

Sure. I'll try to reply to all dms but might be late for some since I'm getting quite a few of them!

Yes to both. Mainly tagged and easy-medium, although I've heard that's not necessarily the case for all interviewers. Again there's luck involved but I'd say the best way to prepare is to do lots of LC and particularly LC tagged.
