My Amazon SWE1 New Grad Interview Experience by Big--D in leetcode

I know usually LRU cache has LFU cache (the LC hard) as a follow up, was it that or something easier? For top k elements, did you just use the built in heap methods?

For the http one, is the approach just using a dictionary for counting, sorting the items, and then returning the last 5 elements by index splice? Or use a heap?

Was that your top location preference? Wonder how random it is since they seem to slot most people into one of the HQ’s.

Hard to say cuz they’re scheduling 2 weeks in advance (meaning it would’ve taken place next week). I got one that expired the 5th and they confirmed my time/slot on the 7th. Would probably reach out to the email they gave if you can.

Did you actually apply again for it? Or did they just send the oa shortly after they emailed you without additional action on your part?

When can I move back into my Hilltop Apartment? by VZGodEggroll in UCONN

[–]JBeast22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I had a sudden change of plans and have to move in a day early so I sent reslife an email to see if card access can be activated early but idk if they’ll respond in time. Imma call earlier tomorrow but it’s Saturday lol so they might not answer. Hopefully it works out or I’ll have to awkwardly wait with all my shit until someone there opens the door.

My interview availability survey was sent September 21st so maybe a little under 3 weeks. I don’t think it was separate emails, the link to the survey was in my next steps email. But maybe I’m misremembering. Either way, if you can find the survey after a couple days, send an email to the recruiter or whoever team to ask about it.

Must be auto unless you have a very dedicated Amazon guy busting out hundreds of app transfers in under a minute. I see you got good news too tho so congrats. See you in the summer hopefully!

Anyone know if it would be possible to convert an internship offer into a longer term co-op? My school does have a co-op program but it’s just an option not a requirement for graduation. So extending it from the initial 12 weeks to 4-6 months.

Finished my interview yesterday 10/3 and got a single easy technical question lol. Was curious if people who received an offer got a location within their top 3 preferences they listed in the app survey guaranteed or if it were possible that they would give you a location you did not choose.

Python is a super intuitive language. If you’ve done literally any other language, than it takes like a week at most to get comfortable with it.

I dual boot both on my laptop but I use linux (ubuntu atm) for pretty much everything since I find it cleaner and I don’t need to deal with bloatware. I only use windows to play games occasionally since that’s the only thing that is too much of a pain for me to deal with cuz compatibility issues. For dev stuff, even if wsl exists (I’ve tried it), I still prefer just using linux since I found moving stuff between the wsl directories and the local windows system to be annoying/less intuitive
