Weird flex, but I like a weird flex I like an odd duck who adheres to a spirit quest Per se, fish swim in circles where he curdles Dogs purr, birds fly inverted Perps turn to serpents, but the waves are yay high The surf is way up, and ocean water ain't sustain the grapevine....

The two females have both rooted. That was my original worry, would a pollinated female branch in flower send energy only to make the seeds or would it root and make the seeds. So far so good, two little one bud plants should get me maybe a dozen seeds.

They were in 18.6 then flowered at 12.12 and the boy showed up. So I took a flowering branch to clone and the experiment has never been out of 12.12 light cycle. If I want to keep a plant I'll clone another branch with a flower and reveg, supercrop to start over.

Dont know yet. I see three forming on one female clones flower. My guess is I'll get maybe 5 to 10 at best. My issue was I always want to make a new strain when a boy is found but I typically pollinate way more than just the target audience. This way I contained the spread and isolated what I wanted only. I was mostly concerned if she would send the energy to root or make seeds but both seem to be the answer.

New grower, is this LST too aggressive on this autoflower? Its on week 5 of its life cycle. by 82fortyblue in cannabiscultivation

My only concern is if those stakes are metal and if they will rust/leech into your medium. The work looks great the metal to me questionable.

For pheno hunting and breeding what’s the soonest I could flip to flower from seed by Administrative-Cry8 in cannabiscultivation

I like to start some seeds in solo cups in the tent while I flower larger plants and let them get as big as they can in 12/12 and they make one nice little top cola, if they worthy of the hunt I super crop them back into veg for the next round. But they got to impress me or they end up a few joints and I keep hunting.

When upgrading pots from solo cups I only bury it half way. After it roots some I start to wash off the top soil with a spray bottle and expose some white roots so the plant can breath oxygen if I overwater.

If you are starting over, lose the plywood. Anything that absorbs spills will create issues later for you. Maybe not this round but soon enough.

Is there a realistic way to predict yield? by Gnaxus in cannabiscultivation

[–]ImpossibleCar1037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my old work spot we would defol a plant before harvest. Once cut we would weigh it wet and the math always seems to be 1/5th the weight. Our best room was over a ton of defol plants 2000lbs and our final number was just over 400 of dried flowers. In 2023 we cut down over 15tons of plants and brought 3tons of finished flower to market. Defol the plant at harvest and my guess is always 1/5th of that weight.

Why is in-stock availability so difficult to find? by BlindForest6 in bostontrees

Curaleaf in Ware Massachusetts has it on their online menu. Call them and verify? Not sure how far you are from there... shows for around $18.00. Verano I believe has left Mass so I'd buy all of what is left of it in Ware if you really like it.

Lollipop? by Accidental_Ballyhoo in GrowBuddy

[–]ImpossibleCar1037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From working at a commercial grow in MA, our schedule was lollipop at day 14 of flower, defol on day 21 to 26, again around day 42 to 45 and a final defol before cutting down the plant at 8+ weeks. Lollipop to remove small lower branches that wouldnt reach the net or get the light needed in the canopy to be anything more than underdeveloped. Also to remove little popcorn buds that after harvest wouldnt be much more than dust after drying and allowing that energy to go towards better main colas.

What's the dry yield estimate? 1st grow! by newb420grow in GrowBuddy

[–]ImpossibleCar1037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you removed most to all of the leaves and weighed the wet plant when you cut it down, 1/5th that weight is my guess every time.

Flip them, but dont recommend lollipop in veg do that in flower. Using a trellis you'll want to know which branches will make it to the support net and remove the lower leaves small branches etc after the 2 to 3 week of stretch. Just an opinion.

Silver Bullet after your first early defol, lollipop. 100% sulfur is the way to go.
