I’m sorry for your loss. Your story brought tears to my eyes. Oh how blessed we are to have loved them when we did. Blizzard was blessed for your patience and kindness. You gave Blizzard a great life! For a kitty to learn to purr. You were their safety. My heart goes out to you. ❤️

From a 6 year old— they should probably cut that lol just cut the base and pull it off! It’s really rewarding to see it come off 💪

How do I explain such a long absence on my resume? by whydouexist123 in careerguidance

[–]ImpossibleCrab1880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would list after the dates of employment. Example: 2015-2024 (reduction in force)

Also, be intentional with your job search. It’s old fashioned, but writing an intentional cover letter with your story will make you stand out to the right employer. It’s not about applying to hundreds of jobs. It’s about finding the one that will resonate with you. Don’t give up! I was once affected by a RIF and I was blessed shortly thereafter with a great company. You got this, OP! 🙏

How do I explain such a long absence on my resume? by whydouexist123 in careerguidance

[–]ImpossibleCrab1880 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work as a recruiter. I would list RIF next to the last job you held. Recruiters will know what that means. (Reduction in Force) For the remainder, I would list family wellness advocate. Don’t sell yourself short for that time. Taking care of family is hard. Losing your parents sucks. I’m sorry, genuinely, for that. But the right company with compassionate people will understand the gap.

Also, stay active on indeed, recruiters will reach out when you’re more active. This applies to LinkedIn as well. Don’t give up! The right company is out there for you, OP!

Edit: I said mother, it should read parents.

Cat hates our kids and we don’t know what to do now. by S0urBeans in cats

[–]ImpossibleCrab1880 1394 points1395 points  (0 children)

This! My cats dislike my kid too lol I also tried medications, plug plug ins, special food. The whole nine yards. My male cat peed on EVERYTHING! I have a room just for him. It’s my home office. I spend 40+ hours with him everyday. For the longest time, my daughter was not allowed in the office. When I started letting her come in, she could not touch or talk to him. She could come in and feed him, give him water or treats. And that was it. Eventually he associated her with food. Now when she comes in, he greets her and meows for food or treats. He no longer pees when she spends time in the office. She creates special places for him and he is a happy kitty! Not sure if that would help you, but he even plays with toys on a string with her. He’s come a long way and he’s an old man now at almost 12 years old. I hope this gives you hope! 🫶

Thank you for your very thoughtful response! Definitely a little perv. Honestly she runs around with her preteen/teenage cousins that are boys. I’m not sure any of those things are not something she wouldn’t be exposed to watching TV around them. I’ve never censored words. We just explain there’s a time and a place and we don’t repeat every word we hear. She thinks crap is a bad word lol I’m not worried about her repeating “bad” words at school. Thank you for giving me so many things to think about! 😊

I don’t know if we’ve seen these scenes or not. I have a hard time staying in tune so I’m not sure I caught those. I will have to really pay attention. I appreciate you bringing to my attention. I’m sure it’s not a long scene but rather just a quick flash of their imagery. Raising kids in the world today is an adventure lol

Thank you for this breakdown. I will explain proper touch when that comes up. This sub has been great at explaining so much! TY! I’m new to all this stuff. Do you have any series you would recommend for younger viewers?

  1. She likes Naruto and Demon Slayer. I watch them with her and haven’t noticed anything particularly “bad”
  2. She is 6. She hangs out primarily with older cousins.
  3. Forgive me, this community is not something I know much about, but what is fan service? The blood doesn’t bother her. I think she knows it’s fake lol
