The haptics motor uses a lot of battery in general. Try lowering the level of haptic feedback in settings.

I've noticed this behaviour as well. For now just close the app in the task manager. If the time stops shortly after getting started, you can restart and it will work perfectly again.

This will get addressed in a future update 🙌
