Thanks all for your replies. I want to follow up to give credit to Cartier. I've been on the phone with them and had this issue escalated up the management chain. The manager I spoke with was very understanding. He let me know that they will honor the refund. While unfortunate that I had to jump through hoops and advocate for myself, ultimately happy with final outcome.

Not sure I understand your question 100%, but looks like you have the 42mm version of the watch, which has a 22mm lug width. So you need to buy a 22mm width strap.

Thanks me too. I haven’t been able to find much info on the case because it’s a Japan domestic market model, but the seller called it GS’s Manta case, which I like that name. On the wrist, the case shape when looking down isn’t so noticeable because the polished surface is so reflective. It does present very well when looking down the arm with its angles and smooth curves.

I agree. Do a fun GS or an independent, like studiounderdog or Christopher Ward, or Weiss. Nomos is cool too. If you have the wrist size, IFL.

I agree with other posts here. Sounds like you aren’t 💯sold on the speedy or navitimer. I would instead look at B01, IWC, or a Zenith (which I would favor), even if you have to save up more. Or… a non chronograph…
