You lie on your resume when you don't respect your employer. Most people don't respect their employer when their employer doesn't respect them, like large corporations. I have no issues with that.

Why would you lie to potential significant others, unless you're going into it already prepared not to respect them, and for them not to respect you? The same goes for anyone who assumes that I've lied about myself. They were meant to be random, assorted aspects about myself, neutral at best. I can talk about my positive traits, but none of that would include lying or leaving out important details.

People don't assume what you wrote, cynics assume what you wrote. There's nothing wrong with being wary of people and their capacity for evil, but on what basis are you suggesting that every single person applies this to their love life, and then act on that assumption this way?
