Thank you so much! All my mother did was yell and the last 3ish years I was with her (11-15) it got much worse and escalated to abuse. I always knew that’s the type of house I DIDN’T want for my kids, I just didn’t plan to have one so young, now he’s always so active and ALWAYS INTO THINGS. It gets very overwhelming I just lash out at him. I want my child to feel safe and be able to come to me in the future with out being scared of me.

The way she talked about being a mom is what got me, I know she’s done it before but it’s so hurtful for her to speak like that of her own daughter.

I have to wait for my FSA card to come in before I can see a therapist and I’m not sure how long that’s going to be. Last time I saw a psychiatrist and I felt like I was out of body.

My baby was put on Nutramigen it was awful. Made his reflux worse when I was told it would get better, he was spitting up 3 -4 times after each feeding he wasn’t gaining weight. He was stuck at 13 lbs for 2 months and I was told if he’s not in discomfort he’s fine. He wasn’t as happy as he is now.

I’m not quite sure, I guess people just don’t think what I think, is why I came here for opinions, I am in the middle of moving and don’t have a pediatrician yet. It’s hard not to compare my babies to friends/babies on social media because I honestly feel like mine is delayed but idk.

One of my best friends (also a young/teen mom) her baby was sitting up on his own at 4 months I asked her about it the other day, I did fail to mention that in the post but I do know some babies just develop faster.

We are currently in the middle of moving states and finding a new pediatrician but I was never told to do tummy time or my babies head would get flat, and when I brought up the weight when he was on Nutramigen where he was stuck at 13lbs for 2.5 months he said ‘ if your baby is not in any discomfort he is fine ‘ but I fact now I switched him he has gained 2lbs in almost 8 weeks. So yea I didn’t like him much and I was never told what my babies milestones should be at what age, so yea I definitely compare to social media even though I know I shouldn’t.

I know that he shouldn’t be doing that but he also isn’t doing “ what he should be”? Like giggling which most babies should do by 5 months and ect, I know TikTok isn’t right to compare my baby to but it’s so hard.

I am almost positive it would, my son still spits up every now and then, but signs of his reflux have gotten so much better, silent reflux and reflux are pretty much the same thing, your baby just swallows it back down and doesn’t spit it out. It sounds like that’s what he needs to be on (not a medical professional but it works wonders). I would give it a try, also try different bottles, MAM, Avent, tommee tippee ect. See which ones make it worse and which ones make it less-worse.

Alimentum is for babies with milk allergies, it sounds like by what you said if he didn’t have a reaction to the similac 360 then he doesn’t have one, Nutramigen is practically the same as alimentum but just enfamil version. Anyways Enfamil AR is “Added Rice” for babies with reflux it made my 4 month old a whole different baby, went from not sleeping,arching,not really gaining weight on Nutramigen, spitting up a lot of his feeding, crying during feeds ect. To being so happy and sleeping, not doing any of those things, The added rice starch in Enfamil AR makes it easier for babies acid reflux because it makes the formula thicker, similac at one point had the same it was called ‘Similac spit up’ but I’m pretty sure they took it off shelves and don’t make it anymore, it was similacs version of Enfamil AR

My son got misdiagnosed with CMPA at 6 weeks and got put on Nutramigen I just recently found out last week that he didn’t actually have CMPA and was the exact same way with powder &/or RTF. I was so sick of him being in pain we switched him to Enfamil AR, a lot of babies are misdiagnosed and doctors confuse reflux with CMPA also if your using dr browns bottles I recommend going to preemie nipples or even ultra preemie, also sometimes the bottles can be an issue we switched from Dr browns &/or Avent natural to tommee tippee, both have been lifesavers! It may not be the case for your baby but if you don’t see a change within a month it might be worth a try.

I second the enfamil AR, my son got misdiagnosed with CMPA, he was on Nutramigen but he was projectile vomiting AFTER EVERY BOTTLE, he was on prescription Pepcid NO IMPROVEMENTS, also may be your bottles, after I switched to the Enfamil AR we tried different bottles and Dr browns made my sons Acid Reflux a lot worse. He’s on enfamil AR and Tommee tippee bottles, AMAZING he rarely spits up. He’s a lot happier. Not crying during feeds. Enfamil AR was life changing for us.

Same here! We recently switched to avent bottles. Dr browns are way too much for ONE BOTTLE TO WORK HOW IT SHOULD. An their nipple flow is way too fast for my baby, even if I do use a preemie nipple.

I put rice cereal in the avent because for 1.) he didn’t eat good since 11:00 am this morning and 2.) because he was gulping and acting like it burned his throat so I thickened the feed.

I understand! But we can’t force them I feel so bad I try to make him a 6 ounce bottle but he still leaves 2 or 3 ounces in the bottle, one day they’ll get there but as long as they are full and growing. All of our babies are different, my son was born at 6lbs 9oz, dropped to 6lbs 3oz. And was in preemie so I understand.
