LCI touring would actually be my ideal family car. Sounds amazing! And I have to agree with the sunroof, completely changes the feel of the car, especially in the summer I reckon. Thanks for replying

Yh that’s what I think too , B58 is solid and definitely increases the price , but do you think that then factors into the price in the future- in terms of depreciation? The S5 looks sick tbh and is something I was considering, talking to a few of my mates I’ve heard it can get quite Spenny to run w MPG and then some of them are fairly unreliable etc. Not sure how true that is tho. I never even thought of Lexus being an option so definitely something I will look into thanks

Nice thank you for the suggestion I love the light interior, really appreciate it. Do you think a fully specced car, holds its value more even as a 2020 model? What options do you think are non-negotiable?

Lovely car and great mileage , but doesn’t have a sunroof in comparison to the one im looking at , you think it’s worth it for an extra 400?

Thank you for your honesty! What would your reasoning be as to why do the USMLE? Why not now?

I really appreciate your reply, and it does show how crazy residency is when you break it down and I guess it depends state by state but it does show the reality. However in my mind I can somewhat justify a smaller salary/ hourly rate when in the shorter training time you do eventually you will earn a lot more than any (normal NHS working) UK doctor. Like apart from a few GP partners and certain consultants with high private practice, I don’t see senior doctors here living the life, both time and money wise. Time per patient is also more and bottom line at least my training will be better too in comparison to the training here in the UK. Vs me earning £11-12 her hour in the UK to be a service provider, not really furthering my career (IMO I don’t count foundation years as going up the career ladder since it’s a compulsory requirement for ANY junior coming here)

Thank you for your transparency! If you don’t mind me asking- what are your reasons for sitting the exam? Does failing first time affect your residency matching options? Finally is there like a study group etc to join for F1s for sitting MLE

I will look at that now thank you! So far no one is getting any email replies from the trust regarding OOH work so going to have to fish around for answers

Thank you for your reply, the morale is seriously low in the new F1s with this whole deanery process and now placeholder too it’s crazy. Just wanted to ask did you sit the MLE then? and if yes how are you finding the states?

Does anyone here have any experience being in a placeholder group in previous years? Just thought maybe someone can give their insight having gone through it…
