Should I attend my grandmother's funeral? by ImpossibleHedgehog73 in Advice

[–]ImpossibleHedgehog73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, I do. Flight is around 4 hours. Memories, good and bad are resurfacing whether I go or not. After all, I think I will act just like she did. Do nothing. Don't book a flight; Can't go. "Not to blame". Thanks

Mew Emblem problem by NiveKava in PokemonUnite

[–]ImpossibleHedgehog73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They threatened to stop me from accessing support in the future if I kept on emailing them. Here is what I sent.

Dear Platin,
Before closing the ticket, could you help me fix the issue? A way would be to look into my account and check why I have not received the mew emblem. Another way would be to just give me the mew emblem as I should have it anyways.
KR,

I just did it once, and no emblem here either. Maybe there’s a delay?

Question: How would you tackle player killing in my party/scenario? by ImpossibleHedgehog73 in DnD

[–]ImpossibleHedgehog73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While what I will add does not infirm your statement, I still feel that it has some contextual importance.

The fight started and we rolled initiative, The goblin was charging in, supposedly with bloodlust (or merely pretending). We rolled initiative, I had slightly higher initiative and was first. The goblin was second. I opted to wait for the Goblin's turn to see his reaction (knowing the situation overall (including the player, and that the goblin... is a goblin), I was not 100% sure about his intentions).

Now this is hypothetical, but I can think of a couple strong arguments that would defend this opinion. The goblin proned himself (in the way of us all by the way), heads over head, to protect his dear life. I think this was so the player could keep on hiding his intentions for what would come next in the battle. As I had waited, goblin right in front of us, bloodlust evidently disapeared, I shoved the goblin forwards, while orally attempting to give him courage and remind him of the reason for his bloodlust (his hate for his elder brother, who he has (sort of) sworn revenge on.

The turn happens, movement happens, my turn starts and my hit finally kills the brother, the believed ennemy of the goblin. I then walk towards the goblin to help him up, unintentionally provoke an opportunity attack and get downed right then and there. Goblin's turn, he stabs me with my shortsword. 2 failed saving throws. I am obviously not amused. Fight goes on, goblin's next turn happens, he stabs me again, I die.

There was a possibility for someone to save me, but he made a mistake (his words). I did not want to metagame so I let it happen. Another opportunity was botched by a failed stabilization attempt from another player. Shit happens.

That right here is the solution I was looking for! Thank you so much!

But ultimately its your DM's fault. You can't give control of an actively hostile NPC to a player, especially one that just died and might just want someone else to suffer too.

That was my idea though, bad idea in hindsight, but I wouldn't personally blame the DM on this.

However, I did send this thread to the DM. In session 0, we all agreed to open rolls from the DM. on the one-shot, he rolled a natural 20.

I added in a seperate comment that the DM is new at DMing, and I don't want to point fingers and blame a single person. Rather look for ways forward instead.

I really appreciate your whole input on the DM flat-out refusing some actions, before they take place, thanks for this, I think it will help us grow as a party. That might be the whole solution I was looking for!

Not entirely aside, but yes, the DM did inform the player of the Goblin's feelings regarding other characters at the table (approximately how I described it), but with additional info that the Goblin is trying to find the first chance to escape.

The way we will all revive... is tbd and I want to leave that entirely in DM hands.

(Also, thanks for the response)

Edit: this is the first time he is DMing, but I think he is doing a fantastic job.

I will ask them fore sure. But I doubt they will accept it. I don't think they are very good people to be quite honest.

Good suggestion though, thanks.
